At the Repgong Tamshé Seminar, the poet Pematso, also known as Chimay, shared her ideas and expressed the importance of traditional culture and oral literature. She shared that due to both social advancement and changes, there are many customs that are vanishing, and provided examples of vanishing customs compared to her childhood, when the tradition and custom were rich. Furthermore, she suggested that it is the responsibility of the elders to teach and guide the young generation about tradition and custom. Above all, she pointed out that the foundation of Tibetan culture lies in traditional customs. It requires the joint efforts of both monks and laypeople to uphold, preserve, and spread them.
