Sonam from Woongchilo village sings an Alo song called "Aloo Me Tang". It is an emotional song, narrating the feelings of sadness that occur in the composer's life. The composer is unknown. It is said the song originated from the village elders. Today it is still sung by the people of Woongchilo village and uses the local dialect Tshanglakha. The Khoray and Alo songs are mostly sung in the eastern part of Bhutan.
- བསོད་ནམས་ Sonamཨ་ལོའོ་ལ་མི་གཏང་ཟེར་ན། །ཨའེ་ལ་ལས་དང་ལ་སྐྱོ་མོས་ལ་མ་བཞག །[I] did not want to sing the Aloo, oh! [my] karma and sadness compel me to sing.
- བསོད་ནམས་ Sonamཨའེ་ཨ་ལོའོ་ལ་གཏང་གེ་ཟེར་ན། །ཨའེ་ལ་ཏོང་ཏོང་ལ་ལྐོད་མས་ལ་མ་བཏུབ། །Oh! [I] try to sing Aloo song, oh! [my] throat would not work.
- བསོད་ནམས་ Sonamཨའེ་ཆུ་མོ་ལ་མར་མར་སོང་ཚེ། །ཨའེ་ལ་རྒས་མ་ལ་ཚུར་རི་ལ་ལོག་དོ། །Oh! when the river moves down and down, oh! shadows return to the ridge on this side.
- བསོད་ནམས་ Sonamཨའེ་ལོག་ན་ལ་ཆུ་མོ་ལོག་ཤོག །ཨའེ་ལ་རྒས་མ་ལ་ལོག་པ་ལ་མིང་དགོ །Oh! let it be the river which return, oh! not the shadows.
