Karma Jamtsho from Maan village sings a short Alo, a song. Alo is catagorically a song expressing sadness which can only be sung but is never danced to. The Alo song sung here by Karma says, to not to sing alo, the cause and the sadness did not leave without singing. As the sun sets behind that mountain, the shadow comes this way forward. Oh if it is to return, may sun be returned not the shadow, it says. Elder cultural experts say such sad songs in olden days were sung by sheepherds and cattle herders when they are lonely away from home.

- ཉི་མ་འོད་ཟེར་ Nima Yezerཨའེ་ཁྲི་གདུགས་ལ་ཕ་རི་ལ་སོང་ན། །ཨའེ་གྱིབ་མ་ཚུར་རི་ལ་ལོག(ཤོག) །Oh! when the sun moves over the ridge on the other side. and shadows return to the ridge on this side.
- ཉི་མ་འོད་ཟེར་ Nima Yezerཨའེ་ལོག་ན་ལ་ཁྲི་གདུགས་ལ་ལོག་ཤོག །ཨའེ་གྱིབ་མ་ལ་ལོག་པ་ལ་མིང་དགོ །Oh! let it be the sun which returns, and not the shadows.
