Video Overview
Pema Cheki from Thongsa village plays a thread game called "dungdungmo" in the local Tshalangkha (Sharchop) dialect. The origin of the game is unknown, it was passed down by the older people in the village. Pema said she was taught by her grandmother to play the game and make the shape of a bridge with the thread. This game is mostly played by girls either in a pair or solo. The game is played with a thread, tying two ends together and making different shapes. It is not popular in the western part of Bhutan and is played while taking a rest from working in the field.
