Video Overview
Pema Zangmo from Chongshing village in Pemagatshel district sings one of the Khoray songs of Dungsam. The composer is unknown. The villagers claim it originated in Dungsam. It is said the village elders passed down the song through the generations. It is a sad song and the lyrics say that the composer is happy with his/her life as a servant.

- པདྨ་བཟང་མོ་ Pema Zangmoཨ་མས་སྐྱེ་བ་བུ་མོ་ས་ཁོ་རེད། །མ་སྐྱེ་ན་ཡང་དགའ་སོང་ས་ཁོ་རེད། །Mother gave birth to daughter (me), sa khoray! I would have been happy without birth, sa khoray!
- པདྨ་བཟང་མོ་ Pema Zangmoསྐྱེས་ཚེ་མི་གི་གཡོག་པོ་ས་ཁོ་རེད། །སེམས་པ་སྐྱོ་རོགས་ཡིན་པས་ས་ཁོ་རེད། །When I'm born, it is as servant, sa khoray! Though I feel sad, I like it, sa khoray!
- པདྨ་བཟང་མོ་ Pema Zangmoགངས་ལས་འབབ་པའི་ཆུ་མོ་ས་ཁོ་རེད། །མ་འབབ་ན་ཡང་དགའ་སོང་ས་ཁོ་རེད། །The water that flows down the cliff, sa khoray! She would have been happy if it did not flow down, sa khoray!
- པདྨ་བཟང་མོ་ Pema Zangmoའབབ་ན་ཟམ་པའི་འོག་ལུ་ས་ཁོ་རེད། །སེམས་པ་སྐྱོ་རོགས་ཡིན་པས་ས་ཁོ་རེད། །When she flows, It is under the bridge, sa khoray! Though she feels sad, she likes it, sa khoray!
- པདྨ་བཟང་མོ་ Pema Zangmoཁྲི་གདུགས་གླིང་གཞི་བསྐོར་བ་ས་ཁོ་རེད། །དགྲ་གདོང་གཟའ་མེད་ན་དགའ་སོང་ས་ཁོ་རེད། །The sun has moved around the universe, sa khoray! It would be happy if it did't have the emeny Dza disease, sa khoray!
- པདྨ་བཟང་མོ་ Pema Zangmoཤ་བ་སྤང་སྟོད་བསྐོར་བ་ས་ཁོ་རེད། །དགྲ་འཕར་བ་མེད་ན་དགའ་སོང་ས་ཁོ་རེད། །Deer have travelled around the prairie, sa khoray! It would have been happy if there wasn't the enemy wild dog, sa khoray!
- པདྨ་བཟང་མོ་ Pema Zangmoཉ་མོ་མཚོ་སྟོད་བསྐོར་བ་ས་ཁོ་རེད། །དགྲ་སྲམ་ཅུང་མེད་ན་དགའ་སོང་ས་ཁོ་རེད། །Fish have swimed through out the ocean, sa khoray! She would have been happy if there wasn't the enemy seal, sa khoray!
- པདྨ་བཟང་མོ་ Pema Zangmoསྤྲང་མོ་གཡུས་སྟོད་བསྐོར་བ་ས་ཁོ་རེད། །དགྲ་ཕྱད་མདའ་མེད་ན་དགའ་སོང་ས་ཁོ་རེད། །Poor me, travelled from village to village, sa khoray! It would be happy if there wasn't enemy war, sa khoray!
- པདྨ་བཟང་མོ་ Pema Zangmoགཞུང་དང་མི་སེར་བར་ན་ས་ཁོ་རེད། །དམ་ཚིག་གསེར་གྱི་མེ་ཏོག་ས་ཁོ་རེད། །Between the Government and it's people, sa khoray! The golden flower of faith, sa khoray!
