Video Overview
Lingi from Khominang village sings a Khoray song. Its origin is unknown, it was passed down through the generations by the elders. The song is sung in the local dialect Tshanglakha. It is not popular in other parts of Bhutan. Khoray songs are often sung when one feels bored, sad or tired.

- གླིང་གི་ Lingiཡ་ཟ་ལེ་ཟས་ཏ་ཡ་དཀོན་ཆེན་ས་ཁོ་རེད། །ཡ་ཐོག་པེ་ཤིང་ཆང་དཀོན་ལ་ས་ཁོ་རེད། ། ཡ་ཟ་ནི་ཟས་འདི་ཡ་དཀོན་བཅུག་ས་ཁོ་རེད། །ཡ་ཐབ་ཀྱི་ཤིང་ཡང་དཀོནམ་མས་ས་ཁོ་རེད། །Let there be shortage in food, Khoray! Even there is shortage in firewood, Khoray!
- གླིང་གི་ Lingiཡ་གཏན་རྐྱང་ཟ་ལེ་ཡ་ཟས་སྨོ་ས་ཁོ་རེད། །ཡ་ཟ་ན་དུས་ཤེབ་ཐུར་ཤ་ས་ཁོ་རེད། ། ཡ་གཏན་རྐྱང་ཟ་ནི་ཡ་ཟས་ཡ་ས་ཁོ་རེད། །ཡ་ཟ་ན་ཚར་རེ་རྐྱངམ་ཅིག་ས་ཁོ་རེད། །We will eat everyday, should we eat? Khoray! To eat, there is only one time, Khoray!
- གླིང་གི་ Lingiཡ་གཏན་རྐྱང་གོའེ་བེ་ཡ་གོའེ་སྨོ་ས་ཁོ་རེད། །གོས་ལ་དུས་ཤེབ་ཐུར་ས་ཁོ་རེད། ། ཡ་གཏན་རྐྱང་གྱོན་ནི་ཡ་གོས་སྨོ་ས་ཁོ་རེད། །ཡ་གོས་ལ་ཚར་རེ་རྐྱངམ་ཅིག་ས་ཁོ་རེད། །We will wear everyday, Should we wear, Khoray! To wear, there is only one time, Khoray!
