Miscellaneous Works

The “miscellaneous works” (gsung thor bu) genre indicates, in contrast to an author’s collected works (gsung ’bum), that the compilation of texts does not represent a comprehensive or near-comprehensive representation of the given author’s work. In fact, a miscellaneous works collection can in fact be contained as an individual volume within a given author’s “collected works” compilation. (David Germano – June 21, 2004)
