The song “The Young Man Went” speaks of a temple that is built by humans during the day and by spirits during the night. In the first verse, the song mentions a young man who went to heaven. In the second one, it talks about a temple built by humans and spirits. The song also alludes to the wonderful stones that are used to create magnificent masonries. It concludes by saying that inside the temple, a noble lama resides. It is possible to infer from the lyrics that the song is describing the famous Samye Monastery in Tibet. It is however also likely that it could be referring to another temple in Bhutan.
