Chonga Lhamo and her friends perform the song “The White Fortress” (Dzongsar Sellek Karchung). Due to its dance circular formation, this song should be classified as boedra gorgom. In a different recording, a woman from the Chukha District performed this same song as a zhungdra, with very slow movements. The song uses the sun as a poetic image to illustrate sacredness of the monasteries and temples and its objects. The lyrics talks about the blue sky as a temple, and the sun as its sacred object.
