Chening Dolma from Rizor village in Pemagatshel district sings an old song called "Tshokhi". This song was sung only in the past century. It narrates about life and how people suffer due to a lack of developmental activities. To fetch water, people have to go climbing the hills while carrying rice, without slippers. The song is in Tshanglakha (Sharchop) but written in Dzongkha. It is not popular in other parts of Bhutan, or even outside the village.
- ཆོས་ཉིད་སྒྲོལ་མ་ Chening Demaལགས་སོ། དང་ཕུ་ ཏེ་ང་འདི་ པདྨ་དགའ་ཚལ་ལས་ གཡུ་རུང་ཆོས་ཉིད་ཟེར་མི་ཨིན། དེ་ལས་ལོ་ཡང་ཧ་ལམ་རྒས་སོ་ཡི་ང་ ལོ་བསྐོར་དྲུག་འགྱོ་ནི་འབད་དོ། དེ་འབད་རུང་ དང་ཕུ་ང་བཅས་དཀའཝ་སྤྱད་པའི་ གཙོ་ཁི་གི་གླུ་གཞས་གཅིག་ཞུ་གེ་ལགས་ང་གིས།I am Chening from Yurung village under Pemagatshel Dzongkhag. I will be running 6 Kor (1 Kor=12 years) soon. I will sing a song about Tso-khe of the past.
- ཆོས་ཉིད་སྒྲོལ་མ་ Chening Demaཡ་བྲཱོརན་ཕུ་ལྟོ་རས་འུང་ཏེ། །ཡ་ཡེ་ནང་ཐེ་ཉི་ཐཱན་ཐཱན། །སོང་སོང་ངཱན་སོང་ཡེ་ཏེ། །ནམ་དང་ནུ་ཡེ་བང་ཉི། ། པཱོརན་ཕུ་ལྟོ་རས་ཐང་རེ། །ཡ་ལྟོ་མཛར་ཁ་ཕྱེས་བཞག་སྦེ། །སོང་སོང་ངཱན་སོང་ཡེ་སྟེ། །ཞིམ་རྩི་དང་ཨོ་ཟོམ་འབག་སྟེ། །After weeding on the fields of the Prontung. After next year, carrying sesame and milk churn,
- ཆོས་ཉིད་སྒྲོལ་མ་ Chening Demaམིག་ཁིས་མཐོང་མོ་མ་ལ། །རྩ་བ་སིང་ཆང་སེར་མོ། །ཨའེ་རྟེན་ཆ་རོགས་ཀ་བག །སིང་ཆང་ཇམ་ཐཱན་དེ་གེའི། ། མིག་ཏོ་གིས་མི་མཐོང་བས། །རྩ་བ་སིང་ཆང་སེར་མོ། །ང་བཅས་ཆ་རོགས་ཆ་ཁྱབ། །སིང་ཆང་འཐུང་སྟེ་འགྱོ་གེ །Though the vision is poor. The golden Sing-chang (fermented wheat (alcohol)) on the floor. Lets go after drinking this sing-chang.
- ཆོས་ཉིད་སྒྲོལ་མ་ Chening Demaཨ་ནཱ་ལས་ཡར་ལྟ་ ཆུ་མེད་པ་ཏེ་ གྱེན་འཛེགས་ རེད་དོས་འབག་སྟེ་འགྱོ་འོང་སྨེ་ང་བཅས་ཚུ་ རྐངམ་ལུ་ཀྲེབ་ཀྲེམ་ཡང་མེད།There is no water from there, we move climbing the hill carrying rice, without slippers.
- ཆོས་ཉིད་སྒྲོལ་མ་ Chening Demaཐགས་ཅུང་ན་དང་གོང་ལམ། །གོང་མའི་གོང་མ་མྱོང་པ། །ཡུ་ནེ་ཡུན་མ་མྱོང་པ། །གོང་མའི་གོང་མའི་ག་རང་། ། ཐགས་ཅུང་ན་དང་གྱེན་ལམ། །འཛེགས་རུང་འཛེགས་མ་ཚར་བ། །འབབ་རུང་འབབ་མ་ཚར་བ། །འཛེགས་ཅི་འཛེགས་ཅི་ཡར་རང་།Thakchung the hill, there is so much to climb up, as well as lots to climb down. Still we'll climb up.
- ཆོས་ཉིད་སྒྲོལ་མ་ Chening Demaགོང་ཁི་རེ་བོ་མ་ལ་དག་ཉི། །མགྱོགས་པོ་རྟ་རང་མགྱོགས་པོ། །རྟ་དང་བོང་བུའི་ཐང་མཉམ། །ནེ་གཤེགས་པ་བྲཱང་ཀ །མ་གཤེགས་ལ་མོ་གོཌ་ཅོ། ། ཡར་ལྟ་འཛེགས་ར་མི་ཚུགས་པས། །འགྱོགས་ནི་རྟ་རང་འགྱོགས་པས། །རྟ་དང་བོང་ཀུའི་ཐང་མཉམ། །ཁྱེད་ལྷོད་སའི་ས་གོ་ལུ། །མི་ལྷོད་པས་ག་བལྟ་སྨེ། །We are not able to climb. Though horses and donkeys are faster, watch if we do not reach the place you (Horses and donkeys) all reach.
- ཆོས་ཉིད་སྒྲོལ་མ་ Chening Demaན་དང་ལ་རི་ན་དང་། །ད་སུར་ངཱས་ཐཱན་དེ་གེའི་དག་ཉི། །དང་ཁི་རེ་བོ་མ་ལ་དག་ཉི། །ཝག་ཙ་ལབ་ཀ་ཨུ་ནེ། །རྡོ་གཅོད་སྟོང་ག་ཕན་ཡོན། ། ན་དང་ལ་རི་ན་དང་། །ཨ་ཙི་ངལ་འཚོ་སྟེ་འགྱོ་གེ་ཟེར། །ལམ་འགྱོ་མི་ཚུགས་པས་ཟེར། །ཨ་ལོ་ལམ་ཁར་འོང་པ་ཅིན། །རྡོ་རྗེ་གཅོད་པ་སྟོང་གི་ཕན་ཡོན། །It's difficult, lets take little rest and continue. Can not walk anymore, If someone come to help on the way, that person will have the blessing of the thousand Dorji Choepa (holi book).
- ཆོས་ཉིད་སྒྲོལ་མ་ Chening Demaཡེ་ནང་འོད་གསལ་སྒྲོལ་མ། །ཡེ་ནང་ལྟོ་རས་ཕེག་ཅོ་དག་ཉི། །དེ་ལས་འཛོམས་ཉི་ཟཱན་ཐཱན་དག་ཉི། །ལ་ཆེན་ལ་རི་ཟོར་ཏེ། །[འོ་མོ་ཅན་གྱིས་?]གཟིགས་ལ། ། ལྟོ་མཛར་འོད་གསལ་སྒྲོལ་མ། །ལྟོ་མཛར་ལྟོ་རས་ཁ་ཕྱེས་ཟེར། །འགྱོ་ནི་འཛོམས་ཏེ་ཟ་སྦེ་ཟེར། །ལ་ཆེན་ལ་རི་སྤོག་ཏོ། །[འོ་མ་ཅན་གྱིས་?]གཟིགས་དེས། །Yeosel Dema, open the pack lunch handkerchief. We will move after having lunch. The various greatest mountain and hills are watching down.

When we move by the greatest mountains and hills, we are moving slowly through the forest by the mountain.
