The song "Tshenden Tshopai Tshoglu" is considered to be a Zhungdra song, which is an accompaniment for traditional line dance. According to locals, the people of Wang (the old name for the Thimphu region) originally presented the song and dance as a form of praise to Zhabdrung Rinpoche when he first arrived in Thimphu. While this song can be performed by both men and women, on the 108th National Day celebration in Gasa depicted in this video, the only performers were women of Laya in traditional dresses. Tshenden Tshopai Tshoglu is said to be the most popular song in the Laya community as it praises the locally born Zhabdrung.
