Tshering Yangzom from Maedtsho Gewog (county) in Lhuntse Dzongkhag (district) sings a local Alo song that is particularly popular in the eastern part of the country, especially in the Dungsam region. Several version of the song also exist in the Kurtoe region. These kind of songs are emotional in nature and often composed during troubled times or bad events. The song in the video narrates the regret that the author experienced in his life. It was said that his mind was in absolute darkness in the past, but he matured and at present his mind became crystal clear and enlightened. The author claims that past mistakes caused him much suffering.
