In this short video, Rinzin Dem gives an account of Thachoekha Temple, a privately-owned temple in Paro District’s Shari Geog. Rinzin Dem who is the temple’s caretaker tells us that Lam Ngawang Chogyel, a master known for building one hundred and five temples, directly blessed Thachoekha Temple. One day while sitting near a cypress tree by newly constructed temple, Lam Ngawang Chogyel is said to have made the decision not to build any more temples. That is the reason why the temple was named Thachoekha, or “The Temple of Decision.” The temple was recently renovated, and new paintings were added to its collection.
གློག་བརྙན་འདི་ནང་ སྤ་རོ་རྫོང་ཁག་ དོསཔ་ཤ་རི་ལས་ རིན་འཛིན་སྒྲོན་མ་གིས་ མོ་རའི་གཡུས་ཁར་ཡོད་པའི་ ཐོད་ཅོད་ཁ་ལྷ་ཁང་གི་སྐོར་ལས་ ལོ་རྒྱུས་བཤདཔ་ཨིན་པས། ཐོད་ཅོད་ཁ་ལྷ་ཁང་འདི་ བླམ་ངག་དབང་ཆོས་རྒྱལ་གྱིས་ བཞེངས་གནང་མི་ལྷ་ཁང་ཚུའི་གྲལ་ལས་མཇུག་འདི་ཨིནམ་ད་ ལྷ་ཁང་གི་མཚན་འདི་ བླམ་གྱིས་ ཁོ་གིས་ བཞེངས་ནི་ལྷ་ཁང་མཇུག་ཨིནམ་སྦེ་ ཐུགས་ཐག་བཅད་གནངམི་ལུ་བརྟེན་ ཐོད་ཅོད་ཁ་ཟེར་ བཏགས་ནུག་ཟེར་ཨིན་པས། ཏེ་སྤྱི་ལོ་ ༢༠༡༠ གྱི་ ས་ཡོམ་ལུ་བརྟེན་ རིན་འཛིན་སྒྲོན་མ་གིས་ ཕར་དང་ཚུར་ལས་རྒྱབ་སྐྱོར་འཚོལ་ཏེ་ ལྷ་ཁང་འདི་ལོག་བཞེངས་ཡོདཔ་ད་ དེ་ཡང་གཙོ་བོ་ར་ ལོ་བསྟར་རང་ཟླ་ ༥ པའི་ཚེས་ ༢༩ ལུ་གཏོར་རྒྱབ་ཅིག་ རྐྱབ་དགོ་མི་ལུ་བརྟེན་ཨིན་ཟེར་མས། འདི་ཡང་ དང་ཕུག་འབད་བ་ཅིན་ མོ་སྡོད་ས་དང་ དགོན་ཁ་ལུ་ ལ་སྟེགས་ཁ་ཟེར་མི་ནང་ གཏོརམ་རྐྱབ་པའི་སྐབས་ ནཱ་ལས་ ཧེ་མ་རྐྱབ་པ་ཅིན་ ཕར་གྱི་ཆུའི་རྒྱ་རྫི་འདི་ གག་འགྱོ་དོ་ཡོདཔ་ད་ ཕར་ལས་ཚུ་གིས་ གཏོརམ་ཧེ་མ་མགྱོགསཔ་ད་ ནཱ་གི་རྒྱ་རྫི་འདི་ གག་པའི་ཟེར་ཨིན་པས། འུ་ཆུ་དང་ བཙན་ཏོག་ ཤ་རི་ དུས་ཞི་དང་ ཆུ་བྱག་ཁའི་ མི་སེར་ཆ་མཉམ་ དེ་བསྒང་ མོ་གི་ཁྱིམ་ནང་ ཕུད་སྐྱེལ་བ་འོང་དགོ་ཟེར་མས། རིན་འཛིན་སྒྲོལ་མ་གྱིས་འབད་བ་ཅིན་ ཕ་མ་གིས་འབད་མི་འདི་ ད་རེས་ མོ་གིས་རྩ་འགེངས་འབད་དོ་ཡོདཔ་མ་ཚད་ བུ་རྒྱུད་ཚུ་གིས་འབད་རུང་ འདི་མ་ཉམས་པར་བཞག་ནི་ལུ་བརྩོན་པའི་ རེ་བ་བསྐྱེདཔ་ཨིན་པས།

- རིག་འཛིན་སྒྲོལ་གནམ་མེད་ས་མེད་འདི་ ང་གིས་དར་ཤིང་རྒྱསཔ་འདི་མི་ཤེས་ ཏེ་ཨིན་ནི་འདི་ང་བཅས་ནི་ནང་ལུ་ དང་ཕུ་དང་ཕུ་ཡང་ང་བཅས་ཀྱི་ཁྱིམ་ནི་ནང་ལུ་ མ་པ་ལས་བླམ་དང་ཨ་ནཱི་དཔོན་གྱི་རྒྱུད་རང་ཨིན་མས་བ།I don't know in detail but, from before itself here in our village there is a lineage of lama, nun and king in our family
- རིག་འཛིན་སྒྲོལ་ཏེ་འ་ནཱི་ཨིནམ་ད་ལུ་ ངེའི་ལྷ་ཁང་འདི་དང་ཕུ་དང་ཕུ་བླམ་ངག་དབང་ཆོས་རྒྱལ་གྱིས་ ཏེ་ལྷ་ཁང་འདི་ཁལ་ལྔ་དང་ལྔ་བཞེངས་ཞིནམ་ད་ ཏེ་ངེའི་ལྷ་ཁང་འདི་གུ་ལཧསི་ལཧསི་(མཇུག་མཇུག་)འ་ནཱི་བཞེངས་བཞེངས་མས།However, before my lhakhang was one of the last out of hundred and five lhakhangs constructed by lama Ngawang Chhogyel during that time.
- རིག་འཛིན་སྒྲོལ་ཏེ་འ་ན་ལས་ ངེ་གི་ལྷ་ཁང་འདི་གི་གདོང་སྐོར་ལུ་ཙན་དན་སྦོམ་ཅིག་ཡོད་བ་ ཏེ་འ་ན་ལས་ ད་ ང་ཐག་ཆོད་ ང་ལྷ་ཁང་འ་ན་ལས་མི་བཞེངས་ཟེར་ འཕུར་ཏེ་བྱོནམ་ད་ལུ་ ད་རེས་ངེ་གི་ཨ་ནཱི་ཁྱིམ་འདི་དང་ལྷ་ཁང་འདི་གི་མིང་འདི་ཐག་ཆོད་ཁ་ ཟེར་སླབ་དགོ་མི་འདི་ འ་ནཱི་ཨིན།From that, there is a sandalwood tree face to face to my lhakhang so, lama Ngawang Chhogyel decided that he will not built a lhakhang here and flied away. Today the reason for naming my this house and lhakhang as Thangchoedkha is because of it.
- རིག་འཛིན་སྒྲོལ་ཏེ་ད་རེས་ནངས་པར་འབད་རུང་ ང་གིས་ལྷ་ཁང་འདི་ ཧེ་མ་ ཏེ་༢༠༡༠ལུ་ས་གཡོམ་རྐྱབ་པའི་སྐབས་ལུ་ལྷ་ཁང་འདི་ཧྲམ་སྟེ་འབད་རུང་ ཏེ་ན་ཧིང་ང་རང་ཕར་ལས་འཚོལ་ ཚུར་ལས་འཚོལ་ང་རང་གིས་བཏོན་སྦེ་ ལྷ་ཁང་འདི་མ་བཏུབ་བཏུབ་སྦེ་བཞེངས་ འབད་དགོ་པའི་ཁུངས་འདི་རང་ ཏེ་ལོ་ནམ་ཤར་ཟླཝ་༡༠པའི་༢༩ལུ་ ཏེ་ངེའི་ཨ་ནཱ་ལུ་གཏོར་རྒྱབ་ཅིག་རྐྱབ་དགོ་བ།Before on 2010, my lhakhang was demolished by the earthquake and last year I sought assistance from here and there, built a lhakhang and the reason was that on 29th of every 10 month, we conduct a offerings ceremony of pyramidal religious cake.
- རིག་འཛིན་སྒྲོལ་དང་ཕུ་དང་ཕུ་འབདཝ་ད་ ང་བཅས་ནཱ་དང་ ཕར་ཨ་ནི་དགོན་ཁ་ལུ་ ལ་ཏེ་ཁ་ཟེར་མི་ཅིག་ཡོད་བ་ ཏེ་འ་ནཱ་ལུ་གཏོར་ལེན་མས། ང་བཅས་ན་ལས་ཀྱི་གཏོརམ་འདི་མགྱོགཔ་ད་ ཕར་ལུ་ཆུའི་གི་ཨ་ནཱི་རྒྱ་རྫིནང་ལུ་ཆུ་དེག་སྦེ་བཞགཔ་ད་ ཕར་གྱི་རྒྱ་རྫི་གག་སྟེ་འགྱོ་འོང་ལོ།Long ago here a pyramidal religious cake(Torma) was received in our village and Latekha at Goenkha. When a pyramidal religious cake was accelerated here, the water cylinder which was filled with water breaks there.
- རིག་འཛིན་སྒྲོལ་ཕར་ལས་ཚུར་གྱི་གཏོརམ་འདི་མགྱོགཔ་ད་ ང་བཅས་ནཱ་ལུ་འ་ནེ་སྦེ་གག་སྟེ་འགྱོཝ་ཨིན་པས། གཏོར་ལེན་མས་ ཁོང་དང་ང་བཅས། ཏེ་ད་རེས་ནངས་པར་འབད་རུང་ ང་བཅས་ཀྱི་མར་ལས་མར་འོ་ཆུཔ་ བཙན་ཏོགཔ་ ཤར་རིཔ་ དུད་ཞིགཔ་ བྱུ་གཔ་པུ་ར་(ག་ར་)འ་ནཱི་༢༩ལུ་ངེ་ནཱ་ལུ་ ཕུད་སྐྱེལ་བར་འོང་དགོ།And when the pyramidal cake out there accelerated faster than which was here, then our water cylinder filled with water get broken. Even this days all the Wochub, Tsentogp, Sharrip, Dudhzhigp and Jugap have to come to pay their offerings on 29th.
- རིག་འཛིན་སྒྲོལ་ཏེ་ཁོང་གིས་ངེའི་ནཱ་ལུ་མཛརཝ་ ཆུམ་ འ་ནི་འབག་སྟེ་ ང་སྡོད་ས་ལུ་ཕུད་སྐྱེལ་ ཏེ་ང་གིས་ཁོང་ལུ་ ཇ་ ལྟོ་ སྤགས་སྦེ་འ་ནི་བྱིན་ ཁོང་ངེའི་ནཱ་ལུ་སྙན་དར་ཕུལ་ འ་་་་ངེའི་ནཱ་ལུ་ [བཙན་སྟོབ་ལས་ཡོད། གནམ་མེད་ས་མེད་ས་ཁར་ལས་མི་འོང་དགོ་མི་ཡོད།?]Then they bring with them 'Zaw'(fried rice), and rice to offer and inreturn I offer them tea, food and meat-slabs, they too offer money here in my lhakhang. There are people from Tsentob, who have to come here.
- རིག་འཛིན་སྒྲོལ་ཏེ་འ་ནཱི་འབདཝ་ད་ དང་ཕུ་གནམ་མེད་ས་མེད་ཀྱི་ ཏེ་རྟེན་བཟང་དྲགས་འབད་ནི་འདི་གིས་ ཕ་མ་གིས་འབད་མི་འདི་ ཏེ་ང་བཅས་ཀྱིས་ བུ་ཚ་གིས་ ཏེ་རྩ་འགེངས་ཏེ་རང་འབད་དོ་ ཟེར་ཞུ་ནི་ལགས།། །།I would like to say that; As it is a very good custome carried out by our forefathers, what our parents did, we the children strive to preserve it.
