Rang Chung from Shungthung village sings the song “Goenpa Serlay.”  Rang Chung says he learnt this song from the elderly Zow Yidam in his village. This song is usually sung at the occasion of groundbreaking and consecration ceremonies of monasteries, temples, stupas, palaces, fortresses and houses. It is sung to create a positive interconnection, or tendrel, either individually or in groups, in which case there can be an accompanying dance. The song is mainly dedicated to the mythological craftsman master Zow Beshu Karma for the architectural skills he exhibited at the construction of ladder from the thirty-one heavenly realms to earth.
