It is useful. For creating something like a house, its usefulness is, how should put it?
For a beginner who studies the traditional Tibetan treatments, that student does not know at first how the human body is formed.
If we provide an example, say a house, and explain to the student, it helps the learner to create a mental picture of the human anatomy.
In the future, when that student become a doctor and handle many things, not only that student had a firm grasp over human anatomy, but also know the significance of each internal organ that generates heat.
For example, the heart organ is treated like a king. If it got a disease or suffered an injury, a doctor can tell its effect.
If a country is left without a king rule it, it is likely that the functioning of the entire country will be affected by his absence.
So using similes is extremely helpful to analyze the seriousness a condition.
