Video Overview
Everything in Bhutanese culture is in some respect influenced by Buddhism. Before eating or drinking anything, a short prayer is said, and a small morsel is placed on the floor as an offering to the local spirits and deities. Gods may not be visible or directly eating those offerings, but the Bhutanese believe that making offerings before eating or drinking will result in good fortune.
ང་བཅས་ར་ སྐྱབས་ནང་པ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གསུམ་ལུ་ བསྟེན་མི་ཆ་ཁྱབ་ག་ར་གིས་ ལྟོ་ཅིག་ཟ་རུང་ ཇ་ཅིག་འཐུང་རུང་ ཐ་ན་ ཆུ་ཅིག་ལས་མ་འཐུང་རུང་ དཀོན་མཆོག་ལུ་མཆོད་ཞིན་ན་ལས་རྐྱངམ་ཅིག་ ཟ་འཐུང་ལུ་ལོངས་སྤྱོད་དོ་ཡོདཔ་ཨིན། དེ་སྦེ་འབད་དགོ་མི་དེ་ཡང་ དཀོན་མཆོག་ཟེར་མི་འདི་ མ་གཞི་ སོ་སོ་སྐྱེ་བོ་ཐ་མལ་པ་རང་བཟུམ་ཅིག་གིས་ དངོས་སུ་སྦེ་མཇལ་ཚུགས་པའི་དངོས་ཅན་ཅིག་རྩ་ལས་མེད་རུང་ རང་གི་སེམས་ཀྱི་གདིང་ལས་རང་ དད་པ་དང་ བསྐྱེད་དེ་ ལྟོ་ཕུད་དང་ཇ་ཕུད་ ཆང་ཕུད་ལ་སོགས་པ་ག་ཅི་ར་ཨིན་རུང་ ཕུད་བཅད་དེ་དྲངས་པ་ཅིན་ རང་བསོད་ནམས་གསག་ནི་གི་གཞི་ཅིག་ཨིནམ་ལས་ ད་ལྟོ་ སྤུ་ན་ཁ་ནོརཔ་སྒང་ལས་མགོན་པོ་གིས་ མཆོད་བཤམས་ནང་ཕུལ་མི་འདི་ ཇ་ཕུད་བཅད་དེ་ཕུལཝ་ཨིན་པས།

- མགོན་པོ། Goenpoང་བཅས་ར་ ག་ཅི་ར་བཟའ་རུང་ ག་ཅི་ར་འཐུང་རུང་ ག་ཅི་ར་དེམ་འབད་དགོ་རུང་ཡང་ ཏེ་ད་ ཆང་ཅིག་ལས་མ་འཐུང་རུང་ ཇ་ཅིག་ལས་མ་འཐུང་རུང་ ཏེ་བཞེས་སྒོ་ག་ཅི་ཅིག་ལས་མ་བཟའ་རུང་so what ever we do like even if we drink tea,alcohol and eat food

- མགོན་པོ། Goenpoང་བཅས་ཀྱི་ བྱ་བ་ལས་འགྲོས་ ག་ཅི་ར་ལེགས་ཤོམ་འགྱོ་དགོ་རུང་ ཏེ་ང་བཅས་ཀྱི་ བླམ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གསུམ་དེ་ ཏེ་གཅིག་གཅིག་ ང་བཅས་ར་གི་ དྲིན་ཅན་ཕམ་བ་ལྷག་པའif we want our worldly affairs to go smoothly, the the tripple gem should be revered more than our parents

- མགོན་པོ། Goenpoང་བཅས་ཀྱིས་ཏེ་ བཟའ་རུང་ཡང་ ཁོང་ལུ་ ཧེ་མ་ང་བཅས་ར་ མ་བཟའཝ་ལས་ ཁོང་ལུ་ཕུད་བཅད་ ཕུད་འདི་ཁོང་ལུ་དྲངས་ འདི་ལས་ འདི་ལས་བརྟེན་དེ་གིས་སྦེ་ བྱིན་རླབས་འདི་ ང་བཅས་ར་ཞུ།what ever we eat we have to offer first to the triple gem, and receive the blessings

- མགོན་པོ། Goenpoཏེ་ ང་བཅས་ར་གི་ བླམ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གསུམ་འདི་ ཏེ་དཔང་བཙུགས་སྦེ་ དེམ་སྦེ་མཛད་ད་པ་ཅིན་ ཏེ་ང་བཅས་ར་ བྱ་བ་ལམ་འགྲོས་འདི་ ག་ཅི་ར་འབད་ས་ཅིག་རུ་ ལས་འབྲས་སླུ་བ་མི་སྲིད་པས།if we entrust our tripple gem then what ever steps we take in our life will be taken care of
- མགོན་པོ། Goenpoལཱ་འདི་ ག་ཅི་ར་འབད་ས་ཅིག་རུང་ ཏེ་ལེགས་ཤོམ་སྦེ་ འགྱོ་བཏུབ་པའི་ རྒྱབ་སྐྱོར་ཅིག་ཏེ་ གཞན་ག་ཅི་ཡང་མེད། བླམ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གསུམ་རྐྱངམ་ཅིག་ཨིན་ཟེར་ ཞུ་ནི་སྦེ་ཨིན་ལགས།So whatever you do in life, entrust the tripple gem and no other shall be able to guide you like he does.
