Pema Tshewang narrates an animal story that reflects the old Bhutanese saying, “When united, even frogs can eat a tiger.” In the story, a frog and a tiger compete in a race, betting that the winner will eat the loser. The witty frog calls on his frog friends to help him. Just before the race, his friends hide themselves at regular distances along the racecourse. Every time the tiger jumps, there is already a frog ahead of him. Before the end of the race, the tiger, realizing he would lose, runs away in fear of getting eaten by the frog. The moral of the story is that unity brings victory.

- པདྨ་ཚེ་དབང་ Pema Tshewangད་དེ་སྦེ་ཨིན་ལགས། ད་ཅི་སླབ་མི་ཚུ་ བཏང་གེ་ད་རུང་ སེམས་ཅན་སྟག་དང་སྦལཔ་ ཁོང་གཉིས་ག་དྲག་ག་གུ་དྲག་ཟེར་ མ་གཞི་གྱེན་ཡང་ གནམ་མེད་ས་མེད་རིངམོ་སྦེ་ཡོདཔ་མས་ལགས། བལྟ་བ་ཅིན་ ལམ་ཀི་ལོ་མི་ཀྲར་གཉིས་དེ་ཅིག་སྡོད་སྡོདཔ་མས་ལགས།Now it is like this. I will once again repeat what i have said earlier about the tiger and the frog. It was to compare who is better, actually it was steep and the distance was long. - པདྨ་ཚེ་དབང་ Pema Tshewangསེམས་ཅན་སྟག་གིས་ ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་ ང་ལུ་འབད་མི་ཚུགས་ཟེར་ སླབ་སླབ་མས། དེ་འབདཝ་ད་ སྦལཔ་གིས་ ང་ལུ་ མི་ཐུབ་ཟེར་ སླབ་སླབ་མས། ཡ་ཡ་ཁྱོད་དྲག་ག་ང་དྲག་ག་ བལྟ་གེ་སྨ་རེ་ཟེར་ སླབ་སླབ་མས་སྦལཔ་གིས།The tiger said that you will not be able to compete me. But then frog said it is not okay with me. Then they agreed and the frog said lets compare who can do it.

- པདྨ་ཚེ་དབང་ Pema Tshewangཡ་ཡ་ཟེར་སླབ་ནུག། དེ་ལས་ བདུན་ཕྲག་གཅིག་གི་ནང་ སྦལཔ་ཚུ་ བསྡུ་བསྡུཝ་མས་ཏེ་ སྦལཔ་ཁལ་ལྔ་དང་ལྔ་ཐོབ་ཐོབཔ་མས་བསྡུ་སྟེ། རོགས་སེམས་ཅན་(སྟག)ཁོ་ར་གཅིག་ར་ཨིན་པས་ལགས།They said it is okay. Then within one week all the frogs were gather and in total there was hundred and five frogs. Tiger was himself only.
- པདྨ་ཚེ་དབང་ Pema Tshewangསེམས་ཅན་སྟག་ཁོ་རའི་སྐལཝ་ཤ་བཟའ་ ཤཝ་བཟའ་ ཕགཔ་བཟའ་ ཀ་ཤ་ཚུ་ བདུན་ཕྲག་གཅིག་བཟའ་བའི་བསྒང་ལས་ རྒྱགས་ཏོ་རིལ་རི་སོང་སོངམ་མས་ཁོ་ཡང་།For tiger he stayed by eating meats of deer, pig and rain deer where he became obese.
- པདྨ་ཚེ་དབང་ Pema Tshewangདེ་ལས་ བདུན་ཕྲག་གཅིག་ལངས་སོངཔ་མས། ཡར་སྒང་ཏོ་གུ་ལས་མར་རེ་རེ་བཞིན་དུ་བཞག་སྟེ་ ལྟག་ལུ་སྡོད་མི་གིས་སྐད་རྐྱབ་ཤིག་ འོག་ལུ་སྡོད་མི་མེན་པ་ཟེར་སླབ་སྟེ་ མར་འོག་ལུ་སྡོད་མི་གིས་སྐད་རྐྱབ་པ་ཅིན་ ཁོ་(སྟག)གིས་ རྒྱལ་ཁ་ཐོབ་འོང་མས། ལྟག་ལུ་སྡོད་མི་གིས་ སྐད་རྐྱབ་ཤིག་ཟེར་ སླབ་སླབ་མས།Then one week have passed. The frog stayed one after one starting from top till bottom. Then said the one who is staying at the top have to make a sound but not the one who is at the last as there because tiger will win. So, the one who is at the top have to make the noise.
- པདྨ་ཚེ་དབང་ Pema Tshewangསྦལཔ་གིས་ སྦལཔ་གཅིག་བརྒྱ་ལྔཔོ་ག་ར་གྱེན་བདའ་སྟེ་ གྱལ་རིམ་སྦེ་ བཀྲམ་བཞག་བཞགཔ་མས་ཤ་ར་ར་བཏང་། ཀོ་ལོ་མི་ཀྲར་གཉིས་ཀྱི་རིང་ཨིན་པས་ཏེ་ལམ། ཁོ་གིས་ མདའ་རྒྱང་གཉིས་གཉིས་ཀྱི་བར་ན་ བཞག་བཞགཔ་མས།The frog kept all other frogs in line till the top of steep. The path was of two kilometer. The frog stayed at a distance of an arrow shoot.
- པདྨ་ཚེ་དབང་ Pema Tshewangདེ་ལས་ ཁོ་ར་ མར་ལྷོད་ལྷོདཔ་མས། དེ་བསྒང་ སེམས་ཅན་སྟག་འདུག་ཟེར་ཨིན་པས། ད་ཁྱོད་ཀྱིས་ ང་དང་འདྲན་འདྲ་འབད་ཚུགས་ག་ཚུགས་ནི་འདི་ཟེརཝ་མས་ལོ་ སེམས་ཅན་སྟག་གིས།Then the frog reached down and saw the tiger there. The tiger asked to frog will you be able to compete.

Then tiger agreed and said the one who win will eat the one who loss.
- པདྨ་ཚེ་དབང་ Pema Tshewangཡ་ད་ག་མཆོངས་ནི་དང་པ་རང་ཟེར་ སླབ་སླབ་མས། ད་ཧེ་མ་ར་ ཁྱོད་མཆོངས་ཤིག་སྦོམ་ ང་ཆུང་ཀུ་རྟིང་བདའ་སྟེ་ མཆོངས་གེ་ཟེར་ སླབ་སླབ་མས། དེ་ལས་མཆོངས་མཆོངསམ་མས། གཅིག་ གཉིས་ གསུམ་ཧུང་བཏང་མཆོངས་མཆོངསམ་མས་ སེམས་ཅན་སྟག་གིས།Now who will jump first they said. First you jump as you are big and second i will jump as i am small and they jumped. The tiger jumped by counting one, two and three.

Again when tiger jumped, again from the above the frog made a sound and jumped.
- པདྨ་ཚེ་དབང་ Pema Tshewangཁོ་གིས་ ནཱ་ལས་སྦེ་ དུང་གདན་མ་ཚུན་ལྷོད་དོ་མས། དུང་གདན་མ་ལས་ བྲཱ་མང་ཚུན་ཚོད་ཀྱི་བར་ ད་ཅི་ ནཱ་བྱོན་ཡི་ཟེར་ སླབ་མས་མེན་ན་ཨ་ནཱ་ཚུན། དྲན་གསོ་: དུང་གདན་མ་དང་ བྲཱ་མང་ཟེར་མི་འདི་ གཏུང་སྐུ་གདན་པ་ལུ་ཡོད་པའི་ ས་གནས་ཅིག་གི་མིང་།Then he reached at a place called Dungdenma. From Dungdenma to Dramang,
- པདྨ་ཚེ་དབང་ Pema Tshewangཧུང་བཏང་མཆོངས་མཆོངསཔ་མས། ཡར་ལས་ཀུ་ཀྲུག་འབདཝ་མས་ལོ། ད་རུང་ ཧུང་བཏང་མཆོངས་མཆོངསཔ་མས། ཡར་ལས་ཀུ་ཀྲུག་འབདཝ་མས་ལོ། ད་རུང་ ཧུང་བཏང་མཆོངས་མཆོངསཔ་མས། ཡར་ལས་ཀུ་ཀྲུག་འབདཝ་མས་ལོ།Then he jumped saying hung. From above the sound of kutruk came. Again jumped and the sound of kutruk came. Again jumped and the sound of kutruk came.
- པདྨ་ཚེ་དབང་ Pema Tshewangཧུང་ཀུ་ཀྲུག་ ཧུང་ཀུ་ཀྲུག་ ཧུང་ཀུ་ཀྲུག་ ཧུང་ཀུ་ཀྲུག་ ཧུང་ཀུ་ཀྲུག་ ཧུང་ཀུ་ཀྲུག་ སྦལཔ་གཅིག་བརྒྱ་ལྔ་ཟེརཝ་ད་ གྱེན་གྱི་སྤྱི་ཏོག་གུ་ལུ་ སྟག་དེ་ལེབ་ཏེ་ར་བཏང་ཤི་ བར་ལྷོད་ལྷོདཔ་མས་ཏེ་ལགས། དེ་ལས་ ཁོ་མར་ལས་ཡར་འོང་ཞིནམ་ལས་ སྦལཔ་གཅིག་བརྒྱ་ལྔ་གིས་ ལྷག་མ་ར་མེདཔ་སྦེ་ བཟའ་བཏང་བཏངམ་མས་ཏེ་སེམས་ཅན་སྟག་ དེ་ལས་ བཟའ་ཚར་ཞིནམ་ལས་ ཁོ་རྒྱལ་ཁ་ཐོབ་ཅི་ཟེར་།Hung kutruk, hung kutruk, hung kutruk, hung kutruk, then all hundred and five frog made tiger tired where he loss and he was eaten by frog. Then the frog won it.
- པདྨ་ཚེ་དབང་ Pema Tshewangཉིནམ་གསུམ་དང་ ཞག་གསུམ་གྱི་ནང་འཁོད་ལུ་ སྦལཔ་ཁལ་ལྔ་དང་ལྔ་གིས་ བཟའ་ཚར་ཚརཝ་མས་ཏེ་ དེ་ལས་ ཁོང་ར་དགའ་སྟེ་ རྩེདམོ་རྩེ་སྟེ་ སྡོད་སྡོདཔ་མས་ལགས། དེ་ལས་ བདུན་ཕྲག་གཅིག་ཡར་སོང་ནུག་ སེམས་ཅན་སྟག་བཟའ་སྟེ་ སེམས་ཅན་སྟག་བཟའ་ཚར་ཚར་ལུ། འ་ནེམ་ཅིག་ཨིན་ལགས། དང་ཕུའི་གཏམ་ ད་རེས་ཀྱི་སྲུང་འབད་བ་ཅིན་ འདི་འ་ནེམ་ཅིག་ཨིན་ལགས།Within three to four nights the frog finished eating tiger. Then all of them became happy and stayed by playing. Then one week have passed eating tiger. This is the only story of past and present.
