The story about a woman with goitre was narrated by Wandue from Zhugthri village under Shongphu gewog. The core theme of the story is about pride and ego. The context of the story is of two women with goitre. One women with two goitre and another with one goitre. The women with double goitre went to the forest and prayed to the local deity to take away her goitre. Fortunately in the next morning her goitre was disapeared and felt confortable. When she got back to village, the women with single goitre was jealousy and made the same prayers but instead of losing her goitre, another goitre was also installed on her neck. Thus, the story passes the message of pride and ego in once's life.

The goiter which was taken by the demons from the previous woman was not eaten by the demons. The demons threw it and the goiter grew to the woman with one goiter. The woman now had two goiters. The moral of this story is not to be too greedy and be satisfy of what we have.
