Kudrung from Chema village in Tashiyangtse narrates an account which says that one should always think twice before revealing any personal information. The narrator tells a story that expresses how appropriate it is on the one hand to share our personal information with our own family, and how inappropriate it is on the other to share it with a friend. According to him, one’s siblings are more trustworthy when it comes to sharing secrets than one’s own spouse who comes from outside of the household (not blood related). In troubled times, your siblings would not use those secrets against their own blood but a spouse could.

He was the only child. The boy grew up to be the young handsome and gradually turn to his fifties. He was not interested in woman, so was not able to take a bride to his parents.

Then his parents got aged every day and finally his father reach to a point to soon bid farewell to the world. Therefore, he called his son to give his final words of wisdom.

Firstly, he told him to be friend with good ones and not to be in the company of bad people.

He reminded him to jugde the woman very carefully before marrying as it would cause him to regret later on.

All the leaders won't be caring and loving in the world, so you should judge them carefully and work under them.
- སྐུ་དྲུང་ Kudungདེ་ལས་ བླ་མ་ལུ་ ཕྱག་ཞུ་བ་ཅིན། བླ་མ་ལེགས་ཤོམ་ཆོས་གནང་མི་ སེམས་ཅན་ལུ་ སྙིང་རྗེ་ཡོད་མི་ལུ་ ཨ་ནཱི་བཟུམ་ མཐོང་མི་གི་ བླམ་ལུ་ཕྱག་ཞུ་ཟེར། ང་གིས་ གཞན་ག་ནཱི་ཡང་ཞུ་ནི་ སླབ་ནི་མེད། ཁྱོད་ཀྱིས་ ཨ་ནཱི་འདི་ སེམས་ཁར་བཞག་མས་ཟེར་ ཨ་པ་གིས་ སླབ་སླབ་མས་ལགས།Finally, he said that he should be mindful while selling oneself as the desciple to a dharma master. A master should be kind hearted and loving to all the sentient beings. He reminded him to keep in mind all the things that he has told him.

He then thought of checking his father's final words of wisdom, even though he was not interested in woman. He then married a woman and got together.

He then decided to check whether his father's words were true regarding his service to the king. He started to work in the palace.
- སྐུ་དྲུང་ Kudungརྒྱལཔོ་ཅིག་གི་འོག་ལུ་ ཕྱག་ཕྱིད་ཞུ་སྡོདཔ་ད་ལུ། ཏེ་རྒྱལཔོ་གིས་ ཚལ་མ་ནང་ ཤ་བདའ་བར་ ཁོ་ར་འཁྱིད་བྱོན་དོ་ཡོདཔ་མས་ ཕྱག་ཞུ་སྟེ། ཕྱག་ཞུ་འགྱོ་བའི་སྐབས་ ཚར་གཅིག་འབདཝ་ད་ སྟག་དང་ཕྱད་དེ་ རྒྱལ་པོ་དང་ སྟག་འཛིངས་ད་ནུག། ཏེ་སྟག་རྒྱལཝ་ད་ལུ་ རྒྱལ་པོ་འོག་ལུ་བཙུགས་ ཏེ་འོག་ལུ་བཙུགས། ལྟག་ལུ་ཐོན་སྦེ་ ཧ་ལམ་སྟག་གིས་ རྒྱལ་པོ་གསད་ནི་འབདཝ་མས་ལོ་བ།while he was serving the king, he used to always accompany the king to hunt the animals in the forest. One day they encounter with the tiger and the king started to exchange blows with tiger to defend his life. As the fight proceeded, the king got victimize in the hand of tiger and were in the verge of getting killed.
- སྐུ་དྲུང་ Kudungདེ་ལས་རྐྱངམ་ཅིག་ ཁོ་གིས་ སྟག་བསད་དེ། ཁོ་ཡང་ གནམ་མེད་ས་མེད་ བཞར་ནུག་བཞར་དཔ་མས། རྩ་ར་འགེངས་ ཁོ་གིས་ཡང་ སྟག་བསད་ཚུགས་ཏེ་ དེ་ལས་ རྒྱལ་པོ་འབག་སྟེ་ དེ་ལས་ རྒྱལ་པོ་སྲོག་ལེན་འབད་དེ་ དེ་ལས་ གཟིམ་ཅུང་ནང་ཞུ་འབག་ནུག།When he realise that the king was getting killed by the tiger, he sided the king and fearlessly fought with the tiger. He also got badly wounded but could kill the tiger. After that he took the king on his back to save his life as he badly wounded.
- སྐུ་དྲུང་ Kudungགཟིམ་ཅུང་ནང་འབགཔ་ད་ལུ་ རྒྱལ་པོ་གིས་ ལྟོ་ལེགས་ཤོམ་ཅིག་ར་ ཏི་རུ་གཅིག་ཡང་ གསོལ་རས་ག་ནི་ཡང་ མ་གནང་ཟེར་ཨིན་མས། མ་གནང་མས། གསོལ་རས་ག་ནི་ཡང་མ་གནང་མས། མ་གནང་ཞིནམ་ལས་ ཏེ་རྒྱལ་གྱི་ ལུག་དང་ རྭ་ལེ་ཤ་ཡོདཔ་ཨིན་མས་ལགས།He took his king to the palace. After reaching there, the king got his breath again to the normal rate. But the unfortunate thing was that, the king did not reward him with any sort of incentives. So he attempted the king's flock of sheeps and goats.
- སྐུ་དྲུང་ Kudungདེ་ལས་ ཁོ་གིས་ ཨམ་སྲུ་ལུ་ སླབ་ནུག། རྒྱལ་པོ་གཤགས་ནི་ར་འབད་ཡི། སྟག་ལས་འཕྱོག་ཅིག། ང་ཡང་ ཨ་ནཱེ་ཅིག་ བཞར་ཡི་བལྟ་མས་ཟེར། ཏེ་རྒྱལ་པོ་གིས་ ག་ནི་ཡང་མ་གནང་། ཨ་པ་གིས་ བློ་དེ་བདེན་ནི་མས་ངེ་ཨ་པ་གིས་ སླབ་མི་དེ། ད་འབདན་ ཁོ་གི་ ར་གཅིག་འབག་འོང་སྟེ་ བཟའ་ནི་ང་བཅས་གཉིས་ཀྱིས། ཁྱོད་ཀྱིས་ མ་སླབ་མས་ཟེར། བཏུབ་ཟེར་སླབ་སླབ་མས་ ཨམ་སྲུ་གིས། ཨམ་སྲུ་གིས་ བཏུབ་ཟེར་སླབ་སྟེ།Then he started to share his emotion to his wife regarding the ignorance rendered the king. he told her that the king did not reward him for saving his life. So, he started to believe his father's final words about serving a evil king would make him regret. He then thought of a revenge and discuss with his wife about killing one of the sheep from palace and to eat it. His wife agreed with him with the acceptance that she won't tell to anyone.
- སྐུ་དྲུང་ Kudungདེ་ལས་ ར་གཅིག་འབག་འོང་སྦེ་ བཟའ་ད་ནུག། ཁོང་གཉིས་ཀྱིས་ ར་ཅིག་ཨརཝ་བརྐུ་འབག་འོང་བཟའ་སྟེ། དེ་ལས་ ཁོང་ཚུ་ ར་འཚོལ་ནུག། འཚོལ་ཡི་འཚོལ་ཡི་ ག་ཏེ་ཡང་འཚོལ་རུང་ ར་མ་ཐོབ་པས། དེ་ལས་ ར་འཚོལ་མ་ཐོབ་ཞིནམ་ལས་ ཨའོ་་་་ཁོ་ར་འདི་ མ་པ་ལས་ར་འཚོལ་མི་འཐོབ་ནི་མས་ཟེར་ མ་པ་ལས་ར་ བྱང་དཔ་ཨིནམ་མས། འཚོལ་མི་ཐོབ་ནི་ཨིན་མས་ཟེར་ རེ་བ་རྫོགས་ཏེ་ རྒྱལ་པོ་ཡང་ ཞུ་ཞུཝ་ཨིན་མས་ལགས།As they have decided, two of them killed one of the sheep and enjoyed it. After that the king and the people staying in the palace started to search the lost sheep. They search around every nook and corner of the places but could not spot it. Then slowly the king also got fate up searching and decided to give up.
- སྐུ་དྲུང་ Kudungལོ་གཅིག་གཉིས་དེ་ཅིག་འགྱོཝ་ད་ལུ་ ཁོང་གཉིས། ཨམ་སྲུ་ཁོང་གཉིས་འཐབ་ནུག་པ། ཏེ་ཨམ་སྲུ་ཁོང་གཉིས་འཐབ་ད་ལུ་ ཁོ་གིས་ ཨམ་སྲུ་ཨ་རྩི་དྲང་དྲང་དཔ་མས་ཏེ། འ་ནཱེ་བསྒང་ལུ་ ཨམ་སྲུ་དེ་གིས་ རྒྱལ་པོ་ལུ་ ཞུ་ལོག་རྐྱབ་དཔ་མས། ཧེ་ཧེ་་་། ཡ་་་རྒྱལ་པོ། རྒྱལ་པོ་རིན་པོ་ཆེ་ཟེར་ ཁྱོད་ཀྱིས་ ན་ཧིང་བཞེས་ཧིང་བྱང་མི་ར་དེ་ ཁོ་གིས་ འབག་འོང་སྟེ་ བཟའ་ད་ཡི་ཟེར་ ཞུ་ལོག་རྐྱབ་ནུག།After two years, he and his wife got into a fight. While in fight, he beat in wife and in anger his wife went to the king's chamber to feigned petition against his misconduct. She said, " Your highness, your sheep has been killed by my husband and ate it two year before."
- སྐུ་དྲུང་ Kudungཨ་་་་ཞུ་ལོག་རྐྱབ་སྟེ་ དབའི་་་ན་ཧིང་དེ་ཅིག་ཁར་ མི་ཚུ་འཁིད་དེ་ ནཱ་ལས་ཕར་འཚོལ་ཏེ་ གནམ་མེད་ས་མེད་ དཀའ་བ་སྤྱད་ཅིག། ད་ལྟོ་འབདཝ་ད་ བཀྲ་མ་ཤིསཔ་དེ་ ང་འབད་སར་སྡོད་མི་ ཁོ་ཨིན་མས་པ། ཁོ་འཁྱིད་ཤོག་མས་ འཁྱིད་དེ་ཟེར། ཁོ་འཁྱིད་ཤོག་མས་ཟེར་ བློན་པོ་ལུ་ བཀའ་གནང་གནང་མས། སྒར་པ་ཚུ་ལུ་ བཀའ་གནང་སྟེ་ འཁྱིད་སོང་ནུག་། ཡ་་་ཡ་་འགྱོ་གེ་འགྱོ་གེ་ང་ཟེར། ང་ཁོ་འབད་སར་འགྱོ་ནི་ཟེར་ སླབ་ནུག་བ། འཇམ་ཏོང་ཏོང་འབད་ར་ སོང་ནུག།When his untrustworthy wife feigned petition on his wrong doing to the king, the king was very much angry and ordered his ministers and gaurds to summon him for leting him and his guards search the sheep every where. When the bodyguards reach him the message, he willing accepted that he wants to meet the king.
- སྐུ་དྲུང་ Kudungའོང་སྟེ། དབའི་ ངེ་གིས་ར་བཟའ་མི་དེ་ ཁྱོད་ཨིན་མས། ཁྱོད་ག་ཅི་སྦེ་ ང་བང་ཅན་བཙོང་ཡི་ཟེར་ སླབ་ནུག། ཐུགས་བདེན་ལགས། འབད་ཡི་འབག་ཡི། འབག་འབགཔ་ཨིན། རྒྱལ་པོ་ཁྱོད་ སྟག་གིས་སོ་བཏབ་སྟེ་ གནམ་མེད་ས་མེད་ བསད་ནི་འབད་ཡི། དཀྲོང་ནི་འབད་ཡི། གསད་ནི་འབད་ཡི། ང་ཡང་ ཨ་ནཱེ་ཅིག་ ད་ལྟོ་ རྨ་ར་མ་སངས་པ་ཡོད།As soon as he was summone in front of the king, he was questioned, " why did you bullied me by taking the life a sheep without informing him. He answered, " Yes, I did the wrong thing but what did you reward me for safing you from the ferocious tiger. You almost got killed and i too was badly injured while safing your life. And I still have the wounds unrecovered."
- སྐུ་དྲུང་ Kudungརྒྱལ་པོ་ ང་གིས་ ཨ་ནཱེ་ཅིག་ སྟག་ལས་མ་འཕྱོག་པ་ཅིན་ ཁྱོད་རྒྱལ་པོ་འབད་སྡོད་ནི་ཡོད་ག? ད་ལྟོ་ཚུན་ཚོད་ཀྱི་བར་ན་ཟེར། ཁྱོད་ཀྱིས་ ང་ལུ་ གསོལ་རས་ག་ནཱི་ཡང་མ་གནང་། དེ་འབདཝ་ལས་ ང་གིས་ འབག་སྟེ་ བཟའ་བཟའཝ་ཨིན། བདེན། ཁྲིམས་ག་དེ་སྦེ་ བཀལ་རུང་བཀལ་ཟེར་ ཞུ་ནུག་ ཁོ་གིས། ཞུ་བཏངམ་ད་ལུ་ རྒྱལ་པོ་ག་ནཱི་ཡང་ སླབ་ས་མ་ཐོབ་པར་ ཕམ་སོང་ནུག་རྒྱལ་པོ། གསོལ་ར་མ་གནང་ནི་དེ་གིས།He stated that the king might have lost the pleasure of his crown if he was'nt there to protect him from the ferocious tiger. He was not happy when the king did not reward him for his noble endeavour and so commited the crime. He told that he is ready to withstand any type of pun ishment incur upon him. When such strong statement was given to king, the king left without any words to answer him. So, the king lost the charges made upon him and let him go.

That was what his father advise him and now he believe in every single words spoken by his father and started to dissimilate the lesson he had learn to all the people. Finally there is a believe that he and many people who had listen to his adivse have turned to be a good human being.
