Senior nun
    What?
Questioner
Why are you drawing the lines?
Senior nun
These serve as a guide for the tailor to make sure that stitching won't go astray.
Questioner
And how do you place the painting inside?
Questioner
Be it a Buddha figure or any deity, we need to take proper measurement first. If we don't mark it with lines, it is hard to get a straight line.
Questioner
Can you please tell a little bit about how you assure a proper alignment while stitching?
Senior nun
    Okay.
Senior nun
Lhago, please come here for a moment.
Senior nun
Those lines drawn earlier help us to properly align them with the lines on tangka painting drawn by the painter.
Senior nun
Before placing the tangka inside, first of all, draw a vertical line and a horizontal line between these two sides.
Senior nun
Then you also have to make a screen for the tangka, which is normally made from a combination of yellow and red color cloth.
Senior nun
Then you insert a hardwood dowel along the bottom of the tangka and another along the top of tangka. After that, you cover the tangka with the screen.
Senior nun
After completing all the covers, then the mirror is placed inside at the end.
Senior nun
If you put the mirror inside before those steps, it will break. So you cannot do like that.
Senior nun
