Rinzin Dem, a traditional folklore expert from the Paro region, narrates “The Source from Which the River Flows” (Chumo Kyang Kyagyo Seka Gulu), an aspirational lozey ballad. In the verses of this ballad, a bird and a tree promise each other they would stay together for their entire lives. However, due to natural disasters, they end up being set apart. Despite the adversities, they keep alive their strong bond, and aspire to reunite again in the near future at the same place where they once met.

    Returned after flying around Indian valley for months and years
