Video Overview
Norbu Choejay from Maenjiwong village sings a Boedra song called "Sungyala". He says the sing is about an orphan boy. The song implicitly says that the boy has not been practicing dharma to attain Buddhahood, instead he sends his mother to practice dharma. The lyrics list numerous barriers and obstacles in practicing dharma, which he says each have their own solution: the snow mountain can be walked by wearing shoes, malaria can be fought with medicine, huge trees can be cut down with an axe. As well for attaining Buddhahood, there are solutions to the obstacles in the way.

- ནོར་བུ་ཆོས་རྒྱས་ Norbu Chojayགསུང་ཡ་ལ་ཨེ། ཤར་གཡུས་ལ་མ་འགྲོ་ཨ་མས་འགྲོ། །ཤར་གཡུས་ལ་འགྲོ་ན་བ་མེན་མང་པོ་འཕྲད། །ཤར་གཡུས་ལ་འགྲོ་ན་བ་མེན་མང་པོ་འཕྲད། །Sunagyang la aee, [Child] Don't go to a village at the East, let me [mother] go. If you go to a village at the East you will come across many mithuns.
- ནོར་བུ་ཆོས་རྒྱས་ Norbu Chojayགསུང་ཡ་ལ་ཨེ། བ་མེན་ཏ་མང་པོ་འཕྲད་ན། །ངའི་ཐག་ཤུག་གཅིག་མོ་ངའི་ལག་ལ་ཡོད། །ངའི་ཐག་ཤུག་གཅིག་མོ་ངའི་ལག་ལ་ཡོད། །Sungyang la aee, if many mithuns are met I have a laso in my hand
- ནོར་བུ་ཆོས་རྒྱས་ Norbu Chojayགསུང་ཡ་ལ་ཨེ། རྒྱ་གཡུས་ལ་མ་འགྲོ་ཨ་མས་འགྲོ། །རྒྱ་གཡུས་ལ་འགྲོ་ན་ཚད་པ་མང་པོ་འཕྲད། །རྒྱ་གཡུས་ལ་འགྲོ་ན་ཚད་པ་མང་པོ་འཕྲད། །Sungyang la aee, [Child] Don't go to a village in India, let me [mother] go. If you go to a village in India you will come across malaria.
- ནོར་བུ་ཆོས་རྒྱས་ Norbu Chojayགསུང་ཡང་ལ་ཨེ། ཚད་པ་ཏ་མང་པོ་འཕྲད་ན། །ངའི་སྨན་ཆེན་ག་བུར་ངའི་ལག་ལ་ཡོད། །ངའི་སྨན་ཆེན་ག་བུར་ངའི་ལག་ལ་ཡོད། །Sungyang la aee, If malaria is met, I have a strong medicine camphor at my hand
- ནོར་བུ་ཆོས་རྒྱས་ Norbu Chojayགསུང་ཡ་ལ་ཨེ། ནུབ་གཡུས་ལ་མ་འགྲོ་ཨ་མས་འགྲོ། །ནུབ་གཡུས་ལ་འགྲོ་ན་ཤིང་ཆེན་མང་པོ་འཕྲད། །ནུབ་གཡུས་ལ་འགྲོ་ན་ཤིང་ཆེན་མི་པོ་འཕྲད། །Sungyang la aee, [Child] Don't go to a village at the West, let me [mother] go. If you go to a village at the West you will come across thick forest.
- ནོར་བུ་ཆོས་རྒྱས་ Norbu Chojayགསུང་ཡ་ལ་ཨེ། ཤིང་ཆེན་ཏ་མང་པོ་འཕྲད་ན། །ངའི་སྟ་རི་གཅིག་མོ་ངའི་ལག་ལ་ཡོད། །ངའི་སྟ་རི་གཅིག་མོ་ངའི་ལག་ལ་ཡོད། །Sungyang la aee, if thick forest is met, I have a axe in my hand.
- ནོར་བུ་ཆོས་རྒྱས་ Norbu Chojayགསུང་ཡ་ལ་ཨེ། བྱང་གཡུས་ལ་མ་འགྲོ་ཨ་མས་འགྲོ། །བྱང་གཡུས་ལ་འགྲོ་ན་ཆུ་ཆེན་མང་པོ་འཕྲད། །བྱང་གཡུས་ལ་འགྲོ་ན་ཆུ་ཆེན་མང་པོ་འཕྲད། །Sungyang la aee, [child] Don't go to a village at the North, let me [mother] go. If you go to a village at the North you will come across big rivers.
- ནོར་བུ་ཆོས་རྒྱས་ Norbu Chojayགསུང་ཡ་ལ་ཨེ། ཆུ་ཆེན་ཏ་མང་པོ་འཕྲད་ན། །ངའི་གསེར་གྱི་ཟམ་པ་ངའི་ལག་ལ་ཡོད། །ངའི་གསེར་གྱི་ཟམ་པ་ངའི་ལག་ལ་ཡོད། །Sungyang la aee, if big rivers are met I have a golden bridge in my hand.
- ནོར་བུ་ཆོས་རྒྱས་ Norbu Chojayགསུང་ཡ་ལ་ཨེ། དབུས་གཡུས་ལ་མ་འགྲོ་ཨ་མས་འགྲོ། །དབུས་གཡུས་ལ་འགྲོ་ན་ཆང་ཆེན་མང་པོ་འཕྲད། །དབུས་གཡུས་ལ་འགྲོ་ན་ཆང་ཆེན་མང་པོ་འཕྲད། །Sungyang la aee, [Child] Don't go to a village in the centre, let me [mother] go. If you go to a vilage in the centre you will come across strong alcohol
