The Boedra song, Sa Jana Norbu Rigi is sung throughout Bhutan. Although they do not know who had composed the song but they learn from watching and listining Bhutan Broadcasting System telecast. Many traditional songs were rarely written down and documented. Even today very few numbers of songs are recorded. The song was sung when important guest such as lamas and other eminent person visiting in their village, who brought development activities to the society and the tremendous welfare enjoyed by the people. The song can be sung as well as dance, either individual or groups where everyone join in singing and dancing. The line of the song reflects, when the lamas stay in the temple then the religious flourishes, when the king stays in the dzong there is happiness for the people, when the parents are in the house then wealth will come to it, when there are girls and boys in the village there will be co-operation between people.
