Chonga Lham and her group sing an old Boedra song called "Neyla Zang Song Nayla Zang" (An Auspicious Sacred Place). The song revolves around Chokhor Lhasa of Tibet, which is considered to be the most sacred and auspicious place for pilgrimage. The lyrics explain that due to the sanctity of Lhasa, people can be liberated from samsara there. If one visits such a place and makes an offering, it is believed that one can achieve enlightenment. The song was composed based on a pilgrim who went to Lhasa, gets a blessing from a statue of Maitreya (the predicted future Buddha), the main relic of Lhasa, and then circumnavigating the temple and prostrating in it. A religious song of this kind can be performed during special occasions, celebrations and gatherings.
