Video Overview
This is another version of the "Omche Sela" song from Samdrupjongkhar district. There have already been three versions recorded in Bumthang and another version in Dagana district. This version describes the impermanence of life and the suffering one needs to undergo when one reaches hell. It urges all living beings to accumulate the six syllable mantra of Chenrezig (Avalokiteshvara, the Buddha of compassion), 'Om Mani Padme Hum' in order to reach heaven in the next life. In one version of the song it glorifies the life of Guru Rinpoche while in another version it describes the life of the Dharma king Norzang and his consort Yethro Lhamo.
