དེ་ལས་སྟོན་པ་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་སངས་རྒྱས་སྦེ་ཞིནམ་ལས་ ང་བཅས་དབྱར་གནས་དགག་དབྱེ་གསེས་མི་ཅིག་ ད་དབྱར་གནས་འདི་ཚུ་གི་གུ་ལུ་ ཏེ་ང་བཅས་རབ་ཏུ་བྱུང་བ་གསེས་མི་འདི་ གཞི་གསུམ་གྱི་ཉམས་ལེན་འབད་དགོ།

And then when the Lord Buddha attained enlightenment, we do the summer retreat and intensively rise with three foundation pratices.

གཞི་གསུམ་གྱི་ཉམས་ལེན་འདི་ག་ཅི་སྨོ་གསེས་བ་ཅིན་ གསོ་སྦྱོང་དང་དབྱར་གནས་དང་དགག་དབྱེ་གསེས་སླབ་ཨིན། གསོ་སྦྱོང་གསེས་མི་འདི་ ག་དེ་སྦེ་སྨོ་གསེས་བ་ཅིན་ ང་བཅས་ཟླཝ་་་་་ ཟླཝ་གཅིག་གི་ནང་ལུ་ ཚར་གཉིས་ཚོགས་དགོཔ་ཨིན། དེ་ལས་ཟླཝ་གཉིས་་་་ ཟླཝ་གཅིག་གི་ནང་ལུ་ཚར་གཉིས་ཚོགས་འོངམ་ད་ལུ་ ཏེ་རབ་ཏུ་བྱུང་བ་འདི་ཚུ་ ཟླཝ་རེ་རེ་གི་ནང་ལུ་ ཟླཝ་་་་་ ཟླཝ་ཕྱེད་ཀ་གི་ནང་ལུ་ ཉེས་པ་ག་ཅི་འབད་མི་འདི་ཚུ་ ཨ་ན་གསོ་སྦྱོང་གི་སྐབས་སུ་ལུ་ བཤགས་དགོས་་་་་ བཤགས་དགོཔ་ཨིན།

Three foundation preatices are taking vow, summer retreat and ceremonies performed to purify pratimoksa, this pratimoksa ceremonies is performed twice in a month, intensively rise is done once in a month and taking vow is done on half day of the month inorder to confess sin.

ད་འ་ནི་འབདཝ་ད་ལུ་ དེ་ལས་གསོ་སྦྱོང་གསེས་མི་འདི་ཡང་ སྤང་བྱ་སྡིག་པ་སྦྱོང་བས་ན་ དེ་ནི་ དགེ་བ་ཡར་ལྟ་གསོ་ སྤང་བྱ་མར་ལྟ་སྦྱོང་བའི་རྒྱུ་མཚན་གྱིས་ གསོ་སྦྱོང་གསེས། དགེ་བ་ཡར་ལྟ་གསོ་ དེ་ལས་སྤང་བྱ་མར་ལྟ་སྦྱོང་བའི་རྒྱུ་བཚན་གྱིས་ ཏེ་གསོ་སྦྱོང་གསེས་སླབ་ཨིན།

Pratimoksa ceremonies means object of abandonment, sin, pratice.So increasing your good deeds and decreasing your object of abandonment is Pratimoksa ceremonies.

དེ་ལསན་ཏེ་ ད་རིས་དབྱར་གནས་གསེས་སླབ་ད་ལུ་ དབྱར་གནས་གསེས་སླབ་ད་ལུ་ དབྱར་གནས་འདི་ ང་བཅས་ཟླཝ་་་་་ ཟླཝ་དྲུག་པའི་གི་ཚེས་བཅོ་ལྔ་ལས་ཟླཝ་བདུན་པའི་གི་གནམ་གང་ཚུན་ཚོད་ཀྱི་བར་ན་ལུ་ ཟླཝ་ཕྱེད་དང་གཉིས་འདི་དབྱར་གནས་གསེས་ཨིན།

and then summer retreat are performed during fifteenth day of sixth lunar month to twenty ninth day of seveenth lunar month are performed for two and half month.

དབྱར་གནས་གསེས་མི་འདི་ཡང་ ཏེ་ཧེ་མ་སྟོན་པ་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ ཞལ་བཞུགས་པའི་སྐབས་སུ་རང་ ཧེ་མ་དབྱར་གནས་འདི་མ་ཚོགས་པས། དེ་ལས་ ཧེ་མ་མུ་སྟེགས་གཅེར་བུ་པ་འདི་ཚུ་གིས་ཡང་ དབྱར་གནས་འདི་ཚོགས་ཚོགསཔ་འོང་ནི་མས།

Summer retreat when Lord buddha lived were not conducted, it was non-buddist scholar who assembled summer retreat.

ཏེ་སངས་རྒྱས་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ཀྱི་རྗེས་འཇུག་འདི་ཚུ་ དེ་ལས་སྟེ་གནམ་བྱཱར་ ད་ལྟོ་དབྱར་གྱི་དུས་སུ་ལུ་ ཕར་ཚུར་བསོད་སྙོམས་ལུ་འབྱོནམ་འབདཝ་ད་ལུ་ དེ་ལས་མུ་སྟེགས་པ་འདི་ཚུ་གིས་ཁ་གཏང་སྦེ་ སངས་རྒྱས་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ཀྱི་དགེ་སློང་འདི་ཚུ་ ཙང་ཙ་རྩ་ལས་སྡོད་ནི་མིན་འདུག དེ་ལས་གནམ་བྱཱར་ འབུབ་འདི་ཚུ་ཡར་ས་གི་གུ་ལུ་འོང་སྦེ་ ལོང་པའི་གི་གནས་སྐབས་ནང་ལུ་ ཏེ་ཁོང་ཚུ་ཕར་ཚུར་འགྱོ་སྡོདཔ་ད་ལུ་ དེ་ལསན་ འབུབ་ག་ར་བསད་བཏང་དཔ་མས།

Thats why during summer time when followers of Lord buddha, superior spiritual community went asking for edible things and money, non-buddhist scholar blamed them by saying, Lord buddha's follower during summer time while grass are growing instead of staying quietly thier movement when different types of insects are awake, are killing lots of insects staying beneath their leg.

ད་འ་ནི་འབདཝ་ད་ལུ་ སྡིག་པ་ལུ་རྩ་ལས་མི་འཛེམ་པས་གསེས་ མུ་སྟེགས་པ་འདི་ཚུ་གིས་འ་ནེ་སྦེ་ ཁ་གཏངམ་ལས་བརྟེན་ཏེ་གིས་སྦེ་ དེ་ལས་སྟོན་པ་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ཀྱིས་ འ་ན་ལས་མར་ ཡར་གནས་གསེས་མི་འདི་ཚོགས་གནང་ནུག

They blamed lord buddha's follower telling them, they are undisciplined.So from that moment summer retreat were assembled.

ཏེ་འ་ནི་འབདཝ་ད་ལུ་ དབྱར་གནས་གསེས་མི་འདི་ཡང་ ཏེ་ད་ཧ་ལམ་འགོ་བཙུགས་ཏེ་གིས་སྦེ་ ལོ་ཉིས་སྟོང་ལྔ་བརྒྱ་་་་ ལོ་ཉིས་སྟོང་ལྔ་བརྒྱ་ལྷག་སོང་འདུག ད་འ་ནི་འབདཝ་ད་ལུ་ དབྱར་གནས་གསེས་མི་འདི་ གཙོ་བོ་འ་ནི་ཨིན།

So it has been almost 2500 years summer retreat was established.Summer retreat means this mainly.

ད་ངོ་མ་འདི་ ཧེ་མ་བཀག་བཞག་མི་འདི་ཚུ་ དེ་ལས་ཕར་ཕྱི་ སོ་སོ་སོ་སོར་ཕར་བགོ་བཤའ་རྐྱབ་མི་འདི་ལུ་ ཏེ་དགག་དབྱེ་གསེས་སླབ་ཨིན། ད་འ་ནི་འབདཝ་ད་ལུ་ ང་བཅས་གཞི་གསུམ་གྱི་ཉམས་ལེན་གསེས་མི་འདི་ གཙོ་བོ་འ་ནིམ་ཅིག་ལུ་གོཝ་ཨིན་གསེས་མས།

In reality tha past prohibated things are now divided into different forms. So this is the three foundation pratices.
