ཧེ་མ་གི་ཕམ་རྒན་ཤོས་ཚུ་གི་དཔྱེ་གཏམ་ འདི་ཚུ་ཉན་འདི་གི་སྦེ་ ཤེས་མི་ན་ལུ་ཁ་གསལ་སྦེ་ཞུ་བ་ཅིན། དེ་སྔོན་མ་སངྱས་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་མ་བྱོན་པའི་སྔོན་མ་ རྫོགས་པའི་སངྱས་ཟེར་གཅིག་བྱོན་འདི་གི་འབད་ འདུག་ལགས། དེ་རྫོགས་པའི་སངྱས་འདི་ སྟེ་ང་བཅས་རང་གི་ ས་རྡོ་ཤིང་ དེ་ལས་ཆུ་དང་ལུངམ་ལ་སོགས་པ་ འདི་ཚུ་གི་མིང་འདི་ག་ར་ འདི་གིས་བཏགས་འདུག་ལགས། རྫོགས་པའི་སངྱས་ཀྱིས། འདི་གི་ཡང་མ་ཚད་ དེ་ང་བཅས་རང་གི་རི་ཁ་གི་ བྱ་དང་བྱའི་ཅུང་། སྟེ་འ་ནི་འདི་ཚུ་ ག་ར་རྫོགས་པའི་སངྱས་ཀྱིས་བརྩམས་འདི་སྦེ་ བཞག་འདུག། འ་ནི་གི་སྐབས་ལུ་རྫོགས་པའི་སངྱང་ཞལ་བཞུགས་པའི་སྐབས་ལུ་ རྒྱ་གར་འཕགས་པའི་ཡུལ་ལས་ ཏེ་དེ་ལས་ན་ ང་བཅས་རྡོ་ནམ་མཁའི་ཀཝ་འདི་ མར་རྒྱ་གར་འཕགས་པའི་ཡུལ་ལས་ཕུར་བྱོན་བྱོནམ་ཨིན་ཟེར་ ཏེ་གཏམ་དཔྱེ་གཏམ་འ་ནི་འབད་ཨིན་པས་ལགས།།

I’ll tell you the story, which I heard from the great grandparents clearly, before the arrival of Buddha Shakyamuni came the Buddha called Dzokpai Sangay and he named all the phenomena of the world. He gave names to the rocks, land, and trees and he even named streams and valleys. In addition to this, he gave names to the birds in the forest. And during his time from the exceptional land of India flew this rock pillar. This is the legend behind this pillar.

དེ་མར་ལས་ཕུར་བྱོན་འདི་གི་སྦེ་ སྟེ་ལུང་བསྟན་དང་འཁྲིལ་ན་ དར་དཀར་རྫོང་གི་ གདོང་བསྒོར་ལུ་ དེ་ན་ལུ་ ཆགས། སྟེ་ཁོ་བྱོན་པའི་སྐབས་ལུ་ རྡོ་ཤིང་ལ་སོགས་པ་ག་ར་ དེ་ཁོ་ལུ་དད་པ་དང་མོས་གུས་ཀྱི་ཐོག་ལུ་རྡོ་འདི་ཚུ་ ཡང་མར་ལས་མགུ་ཏོ་ག་ར་ཡར་སྟོན།

According to prophecy, this pillar landed here facing Daga Dzong. As the pillar landed in this place the rocks and trees of the surrounding area bent their heads toward him to pay respect and show devotion.

ཤིང་འདི་ཡང་ག་ར་མགུ་ཏོ་ཡར་འཚམས། ས་དང་རི་ཚུ་ཡང་ ཁོ་ལུ་ཕྱག་འཚལ་བའི་ཚུལ་ཁོ་ལུ་ ཕྱག་འཚལ་ཐལ་མོ་སྦྱར་ཚུལ་སྦེ་ སྟེ་ག་ར་ ཁོ་ན་ལུ་བྱོནམ་ད་ལུ་ ས་དང་རྡོ་ ཤིང་ལ་སོགས་པ་ཁོ་ལུ་ དད་པ་དང་མོས་གུས་ཐོག་ལུ་ ཁོ་ལུ་མགུ་ཏོ་མར་ ཁོ་ཁ་ཐུག་ལུ་སྟོན་འདི་གི་ ད་ལྟོ་ན་ག་ར་གིས་གཟིགས་རུང་གཟིགས་ས་ཡོད།

The heads of the trees bent towards the pillar and the local landscape and mountains here is as if to prostrate before him. This can be seen even today.

འདི་གི་གདོང་ཁ་ལས་ མ་གི་རྡོ་ འདི་ཚུ་ག་ར་ སྤྱི་ཏོག་ག་ར་ ཁོ་ཁ་ཐུག་ལུ་སྒོར། སྟེ་མར་ལས་ ས་གི་ཆགས་ཚུལ་སྦེ་རུང་ ཁོ་ལུ་ལགཔ་ཐལ་མོ་སྦྱར་འདི་གིས་སྦེ་ དད་པ་མོས་གུས་ ཐོག་ལུ་ཁོ་ལུ་ མགུ་ཏོ་མར་ཁོ་ཁ་ཐུག་ལུ་གུས་ཞབས་འབད་བའི་ཚུལ། ཤིང་འདི་ཚུ་འབད་རུང་ ཡང་ ཡར་ལས་མར་བསྒུར་འདི་ ཁོ་ཁ་ཐུག་ལུ་གཡོ་སུ་གཅིག་སྦེ་ ད་ལྟོ་ཡང་འ་ནི་འབད་ཡོད་ཟེར་ཞུ་ནི།

And all the rocks lying before this pillar have their heads pointing toward the pillar. And even the formations of the land around it are as if they are prostrating before this pillar with devotion and respect; even the trees are bent slightly towards this pillar.

སྟེ་འདི་གི་ཡང་མ་ཚད་ དེ་ད་ཁོ་གི་མཛད་པ་ཞུ་དགོ་པ་ཅིན་ ང་བཅས་རང་མི་ལུ་ སྐྱེས་རབ་བཟང་པོ་ སྟེ་ང་བཅས་རང་མི་ལས་མི་ལེ་ཤ་ཡོདཔ་ལས་ སྐྱེས་རབ་བཟང་པོ་འདི་ཚུ་གི་ཡང་ ཚེས་བརྒྱད། བཅོ་ལྔ། གནམ་གང་ ལུ་ སྟེ་ང་བཅས་གིས་ འ་ནི་སྐྱེས་རབ་བཟང་པོ་ འདི་ཚེ་གིས་ཉནམ་ད་རྐྱངམ་ཅིག་གོ་ཟེར་ཨིནམ་ མས་ གཞན་གི་འདི་མི་གོ་བས། སྟེ་སྐྱེས་བར་བཟང་པོ་འདི་ཚུ་གིས་ ཚེས་བརྒྱད་ བཅོ་ལྔ་ གནམ་གང་ དུས་བཟང་གསུམ་ལུ་ ཁོང་གི་རྣ་བ་ཉན་འདི་གིས་སྦེ་འབདཝ་ད་ ང་བཅས་རང་རྫོང་གཞི་ཁ་ལུ། ལྷ་ཁང་ དགོན་སྡེ་སྦོམ་ལ་ལུ་ ཚོགས་བསྐོར་གནམ་མེད་ས་མེད་གསུང་འབྲག་ལྡིར་བ་ དུང་ རལམོ་ རྒྱ་གླིང་ འ་ནི་གི་འབྲུག་ལྡིར་བ་ལྟ་བུའི་སྒྲ། དེ་ལསནི་ ང་བཅས་རང་ཁྱིམ་ནང་ན་ འབད་ས་ཅི་རུང་ སྟེ་མི་ང་བཅས་རང་ ག་ར་ཇ་འཐུང་། ལྟོ་ཟ། ཇ་བསྲུ་བསྲུ་བའི་ རྗོད་སྒྲ། མི་འདི་ཁ་སླབ་པའི་རྗོད་སྒྲ། གསུང་ཆོས་འབྲུག་ལྡིར་བའི་རྗོད་ སྒྲ། འདི་ཚེ་ག་ར་སྐྱེས་རབ་བཟང་པོ་འདི་གིས་གོ་ཟེར་ ཏེ་གཏམ་དཔྱེ་གཏམ་ཅིག་ཨ་ནི་སྦེ་འདུག་ལགས།

Additionally, to talk about his deeds, it is said that on the eighth, fifteenth and thirtieth day in any month of the Bhutanese calendar those who are fortunate can hear a holy sound from this pillar when they listen. But it isn’t possible for those who are not fortunate. On those auspicious days the fortunate ones hear the blowing of a trumpet and clarinet, the beating of a cymbal like at a feast offering in a monastery and [it sounds] like the roaring of a dragon. A fortunate individual can also hear from the pillar the sounds of everyday life such as drinking tea, eating food, churning butter and sounds created from other spiritual activities.

སྟེ་ད་འདི་ཆགས་ཚུལ་འདི་ལོ་སྟོང་ཕྲག་སྟོང་ཕྲག་དི་ལོ་རྒྱུས་མས། དར་དཀར་རྫོང་འདི་ན་གི་རྡོ་གནམ་ཁའི་ཀཝ་ དང་གདོང་བསྒོར་འབདཝ་མ་ཚད་ ཀུན་རས་འདི་ན་ རྡོ་གནམ་ཁའི་ཀཝ་ཁ་ཐུག་ལུ་ རེག་དོ་ཡོདཔ་མས། སྟེ་དང་ཕུག་དཔོན་སློབ་ཞལ་བཞུགས་པའི་སྐབས་ལུ་ཨིན་པས། སྟེ་ཁོང་དཔོན་སློབ་རིམ་པ་བཞི་ཨིན་ན་ ལྔ་ཨིན་ན་ཅིག་བྱོན་འདུག།

For thousands of years people spoke of the formation of this pillar. The pillar does not only face Daga dzong but it also faces a grove too. It was during the time when there were governors. About four to five governors came here before.

དེ་འ་ནི་འབདཝ་ད་ ཀུན་རས་འདི་དང་ ན་གིས་དར་དཀར་རྫོང་གི་ ཞལ་གྲངས་བཞུགས་སའི་ཀུན་རས་འདི་དང་ རྡོ་གནམ་ཁའི་ཀཝ་འདི་གདོང་བསྒོར་འབདཝ་ད་ དེ་རྡོ་གནམ་ཁའི་ཀ་བ་གི་ཁོ་རང་ནང་ན་ལུ་ སངྱས་སྟོང་ཡོད་ཟེར་ཨིན་པས་ལགས། སངྱས་སྟོང་ཡོད་ཟེརཝ་མས། སྟེ་དེ་ལས་འ་ནི་སྐྱེ་རབ་བཟང་པོ་འདི་ཚུ་གིས་ཚེས་བརྒྱད་ བཅོ་ལྔ་ གནམ་གང་ ལུ་ཁོང་གི་རྣ་བ་ཉནམ་ད་ལུ་ གསུང་ཆོས་འབྲུག་ལྡིར་བའི་འཇིགས་སྒྲ་གོ་ཟེར་མི་འདི་ ཨིནམ་མས་བ་ལ་ འདི་འ་ནི་ ནང་ན་ལུ་སངྱས་སྟོང་ ཡོད་ཟེར། རྡོ་ནམ་མཁའི་ཀ་བའི་ནང་ན་ལུ། འདི་གི་ཐུགས་རྗེ་བྱིན་རླབས་ལས་བརྟེན་ ཕ་དར་དཀར་རྫོང་ནང་གི་ དགེ་སློང་འདི་ཚུ་ སྟེ་གནམ་མེད་ས་མེད་རྟོགས་པ་ཡྟོན་འབད་རུང་ གནམ་མེད་ས་མེད་མཁས་དྲག། སྟེ་དེ་ལས་ ཧེ་མ་ལས་ཡང་ གྲྭ་དགེ་འདི་ཚུ་ གནམ་མེད་ས་མེད་ དགེ་སློང་རྒན་རྒས་རྒན་རྒས་ དགེ་སློང་རྒས་ཤོས་གནམ་ མེད་ས་མེད་མར་ལས་ཡར་ ཏེ་གྲ་དགེ་ལས་གྲ་དགེ་ཨ་ནི་འབད་བྱོན་འབད་སྦེ་ སྟེ་རྟོགས་པ་ཡྟོན་སྦེ་རུང་ ཚུལ་དང་ལྡན་པ་སྦེ་ ཨ་ནི་ཡོད་ཟེར་ ན་གི་ཐུགས་རྗེ་བྱིན་རླབས་ལས་ བརྟེན་ ཨ་ནི་ཡོད་ཟེར་ གཏམ་དཔྱེ་གཏམ་ ཅིག་འ་ནི་འབད་འདུག།

As the grove where the monk of the dzong dwells and the pillar face each other, and also because the pillars house the statues of a thousand Buddhas, and because of the holy sound which can be heard during auspicious days like the roaring of the dragon and it being so sacred, due to its blessing, it is said monks of Daga Dzong were spiritually well realized and learned too. They became old there in the dzong and they were learned too. This is the story behind the blessing of this stone pillar.

དེ་ལོག་ཤུལ་ལས་ རྫོང་འདི་སྦོམ་རང་སྦོམ་ གནམ་མེད་ས་མེད་རྫོང་སྦོམ་སྦེ་ ས་ཡོམ་གྱིས་ཚར་གཉིས་ཨིན་ན་ གསུམ་ཨིན་ན་ཅིག་ སྟེང་ཐོག་རམ་ མ་འགྱོཝ་ད་ དེ་འདི་གི་ཤུལ་ལས་ རྫོང་ལོག་ཨ་རྩི་ཅིག་ཚུར་ དུམ་སུ་ཅིག་སྦེ་བཟོ་བའི་སྐབས་འདི་ལུ་ སྟེ་རྫོང་གི་ཞལ་གྲངས་བཞུགས་སའི་ཀུན་རས་འདི་ རྫོང་གི་ཕ་ཁར་ རྫོང་གི་ཁ་མར་ཧོངས་མར་བཟོ་དཔ་མས་ལགས། སྟེ་ཁ་མར་ཧོངས་བཟོ་ད་བཞིན་ན་ སྟེ་དེ་ལས་ མ་གི་ཀུན་རས་ འདི་དང་ ཕ་རྫོང་གི་གདོང་བསྒོར་ལུ་ མ་ཧེ་ལུངམ་ཟེར་ཅིག་ཡོདཔ་ཨིན་ལགས། མ་ཧེ་ལུངམ་གི་འདི་ནང་ལུ་ སྟེ་ད་བྱག་གུར་ལུ་ མོ་མཚན་ཅིག་གི་ཆགས་ཚུལ་ཡོདཔ་ཨིན་ཟེར་ སྟེ་ཨ་ཕི་གི་ རྐྱེན་ལས་བརྟེན་འབད་བཞིན་ན་ སྟེ་ཀུན་རས་ཕ་ཧོངས་ཏོ་སྤོ་བཞིནམ་ལས་ སྟེ་དེ་ལས་ན་གི་དགེ་སློང་ཚུ་ལུ་ རྐྱེན་ཕོག་འདི་གི་སྦེ་བཞིན་ན་ དེ་དགེ་སློང་གྲ་དགེ་སྦེ་ གནམ་མེད་ས་མེད་འགྱོ་ནི་མེདཔ་ དགེ་སློང་ཡུདཔ་ཅིག་ཧ་ལམ་ འཇའ་རིསམོ་འཇའ་རིསམོ་ སྦེ་མི་འདི་ཚུ་ལུ་སྟེ་བར་ཆད་བྱུང་སྦེ་འབད་དེ་ དགེ་སློང་གནམ་མེད་ས་མེད་ ཡར་རྒྱས་འགྱོ་མི་སྟེར་བར་ འ་ནི་སྦེ་ བར་ཆད་འ་ནི་སྦེ་བྱུངམ་ཨིན་ཟེར་ གཅིག་འ་ནི་འབད་ ཞུ་ནི་སྦེ་ཨིན།། །།

After a certain period of time, the dzong collapsed due to earthquakes. It also fell because the dzong was too big. During reconstruction, the grove shifted below the dzong to face Mahe-lung. And on the cliff of Mahe-lung there is a figure like women’s genitals and due to this, misfortune struck the monks and they could not prosper as before.
