On the 14th day of the 10th month in the Bhutanese calendar, villagers of Kheng Buli in Nangkor Gewog (county) of Zhemgang Dzongkhag (district), have the culture of receiving a lama for their Chodpa offering ceremony. On that day, right after the lunch session, villagers receive their lama with songs and dances through the procession. People say that this culture existed since their parents’ time and they are unaware of its origin and history. This ceremony takes place when they are done with the preparation of the ritual cake for the Chodpa offering.
