The tradition of preparing different dishes from pumpkins constituted an important knowledge in the past, as explained by Pema Tshomo and Tshomo in this video. Such tradition was widely practiced before the introduction of Indian rice in the country. Nowadays, with the improvements in food safety regarding Indian rice, people tend to neglect eating pumpkin-based dishes.
