A household from Nanglam village in Pemagatshel is preparing corn flour food, traditionally accompanied by a chili curry known as Chami. Chilies are mashed up using a kitchen pestle and mortar, along with other ingredients like spring onions, Sichuan peppers among others. The mixture is then boiled into a kind of soup. A pot of Bangchang alcohol is also heated to go along with the meal, besides a milk tea. Bangchang is a local drink made from a fermented mash, heated with water, after which the juice is strained to drink.
