Tandin Dema from Hungrel presents “Nyala Zangsong,” a song about pilgrimage. The original author of this song is unknown, but it is believed that a Buddhist scholar has composed it. The lyrics describe Lhasa as an auspicious place, where Shakyamuni Buddha sits on a golden throne, and sacred relics abound.  A pilgrim crosses high mountains, broad plains, swift rivers, and steep cliffs, overcoming all fear to arrive there. The song finally indicates how the temple caretaker describes the place to the arriving pilgrim.
