The majority of Bhutan's population rely on agricultural and livestock farming for their livelihoods. In this video, Ugyen Dema from Gomchu in Pemagatshel District milks her cow in a local, traditional way. In Bhutan, the milking of the cow is done in the morning and only once. A cow can be milked twice, once in the morning and again in the evening, only in the case of not having a calf with her.
