From Pema Gysethel Khar Gewog. I am brought up in Shimthing. From the age of ninten reach to Tshebar. In Tsebar i stayed under Tongphu lama. I stayed with lama for eleven years.

When i was staying with lama, Lama said,"you have to learn it" so i learn it too. I had been working this for thriten years i mean bronze casting. This white is new silver. The red bronze is red and yellow bronze too. This is white, red and yellow is finished.

I am 33 years and my name is Tshewang Namgyel. This is the base (RACHI)of trumpht. The base should be tied, later we will heat it. This is callled middle (BAR LANG). My iron pipe has became smooth due to works.

I learned it because of my interest. if we have interset we can learn but it is difficult in begaining. So my Lama taught to us. Then after learning due to personal problem i did not stay with him. He said making holy things are good so we learned it. So hunting and fishing is we can know without learning. I have learned for one year and three months. we can learn in one year fully but after three months we can do basic. but it will not be standared one.

Do you make only Trumphet or others like Jaling too?

I make JALING too but this time i got lots of trumphet making. and i make Kangdung too. I have made SERTOG to beferoe. Here there is not need of it thats why i dont do it. I made big trumphets too (Dungchen) when i་was with lama but today i only make trumphets and JALINGS.

I make three different trumphets. JAILING two types. one is our Pema Gytselpai old one, sells at eighten thousand and the silver and red bronze one sells at eleven thousand. And the one cost twenty one thousand. It is made by people of Thimphu, which is covered by craft patterns.

ཨིན་གོང་ཚད་འདི་པ་ཏྲ་དང་འཁྲིལ་ཏེ་ དངུལ་གསར་ཡང་གོང་མཐོ་མི་འདི་ དངུལ་གྱི་གོང་འདི་ ཟངས་ལས་མཐོ་ནི་འདི་གིས་ཨིན། དངུལ་གོང་ཡང་ ༡༠༥༠ དང་ཟངས་ལུ་འབད་བ་ཅིན་ ༨༥༠ རང་ཨིན་ ལཱ་འབདཝ་ད་ཡང་ དངུལ་འདི་ཟངས་དང་ཕྱདཔ་ད་ལཱ་ཁག་ཡོད། ྄Yes it depends on patterns. This silver one are expensive because it cost more when we buy in market compearing to bronze. It cost thousand fifty in kilo and bronze eight hundered fifty. while workimg also silver is difficult but bronze is eassy.

If we work nonstop it takes about five days without patterns and with patterns it takes about ten days.

If it is metle hammer it will make scars. one is made of wood because wood can be light. If it is metle it will make scars. so thats why metle hammer is not used, we us only wood and horn one.

Before i was in monk, i stayed there for eight years, there i leanrned it their from our lama. He is called Sangay Dorji. Our lama built Dzangtopelri and stupa. (Jali ka sho) There was sixty three monks. Every expenses are born by lama. He advise us to learn. I have made trumphets and Shir Too and dungchen or big trumphets. I also stayed in meditation for three years and eight months. After that due to personal problem i left monkhood.

They are young thats why they don't listen but i would like to teach them. If they dont do well in studies it is better to learn this. One is studying in class five, sometime they listen but not all the time. I always say it is better to learn because if they dont do good in studies it will be difficult to them.

I dont work in farm at all but sometime when there is worker in field i cook for them. I never work in field but some times go for reciting prayers in village. I dont know farming work and don;t have interest too.

You mean demand for trumphets? Its same. I had been here for seven yrs, i have supplied more trumphets at Damphu. But Trumphet maker are more in Pema Gytshel Tshebar. There are about fifty to sixty, some are villager but some are my friends.

Some come here to get it but some order. It is black rite, once we wash with acid it became white and the bronze became red.
