Artisans in the É district of Lhoka hand weave yak hair textiles. The first artisan uses a wooden frame to wind yak hair yarn and other colors of yarn to create a warp. The second artisan creates the weft, using a back-strap hand loom where one end of the textile is attached to the weaver, who uses his body to create tension for the loom. From minutes 6:53 to 7:22, the weaver explains the different parts of the back-strap loom and the process of weaving.
