The tradition of making Kapkapma instrument was practiced since long time back in Zhemgang region to chase away birds and animals from maize field using bamboo. The bamboo is brake into two halves, tied with robe and shake whenever animals come into field. But now such instruments cannot be seen in these modern days due to emergence or invention of new methods like electric wiring. If people can't afford to buy electric fence, they use old tins and pots to replace kapkapma.
ཀབ་ཀབ་མ་གི་ ལག་ཆས་བཟོ་ནིའི་ལུགས་སྲོལ་འདི་ གཞསལམ་སྒང་ལུ་ དེ་བསྒང་ལས་བྱུང་ཡོདཔ་ད་ ལག་ཆས་འདི་ གེ་ཟའི་ཞིང་ནང་སེམས་ཅན་དང་ བྱ་ཚུ་བདའ་ནིའི་དོན་ལུ་་ སྤག་ཤིང་གི་སྦེ་བཟོ་སྟེ་ ལག་ལེག་འཐབ་དོ་ཡོདཔ་ད་ སྤག་ཤིང་འདི་གཉིས་སྦེ་བཀག་ཞིནམ་ལས་ ཐགཔ་གི་བསྡམས་ཏེ་ ཞིང་ནང་སེམས་ཅན་འོངམ་ད་འཐེནམ་ཨིན་ཨིན་པས། ཨིན་རུང་ ད་རེས་ནངས་པའི་དུས་ཚོད་ཁར་ རིག་པ་གསརཔ་དང་ གློག་མེའི་གློག་ར་བ་ལ་སོགས་པ་ཚུ་ལུ་བརྟེན་ ལག་ཆས་འདི་ཚུ་ གནམ་མེད་ས་མེད་མཐོང་ནི་མེདཔ་ཨིན་རུང་ གློག་མེའི་ར་བ་ཚགས་ཁར་ཚུགས་མ་ཚུགས་མི་ཚུ་གིས་ ཀྲིན་རྒསཔ་དང་ ཀ་ལ་རྫམ་ཚུ་འཐབ་དོ་ཡོདཔ་ད་ ད་ད་རེས་ནངས་པ་ ཀབ་ཀབ་མ་འདི་ལག་ལེན་འཐབ་དོ་ཡོདཔ་མས། ད་ད་རེས་ནངས་པའི་དུས་ཚོད་ཁར་ འདི་བཟུམ་གྱི་ལུགས་སྲོལ་འདི་ཚུ་ ཉམས་དོ་ཡོདཔ་ལས་ འདི་བཟུམ་གྱི་ གློག་བརྙན་བཟོ་བཞག་མི་གིས་ ང་བཅས་རའི་ ལམ་ལུགས་སྲོལ་ཡུན་རིང་སྦེ་ ཉམས་སྲུང་འབད་ནི་ལུ་ ཕན་ཐོགས་ཚུགས་ནི་ཨིན་པས།
