The collection of wild food is very popular in Zhemgang district, because food production is extremely low in the past due to absence of trade culture. Thus, this situation forces people to explore wild food for survival of their family but through time such practices is now disappearing from their food culture except for very few elderly people. The video shows on how to prepare food out of bru tuber. This particular species of potato is poisonous in nature and it needs to cut into pieces, cook and soak in water at least for a week to drain out the poison. After a week it can be directly consumed after adding few spices like onion, coriander, chili etc.
