This song sung by Pema of Namgyelgang village of Dagana Gewog is a local song usually performed while cultivating maize. As the people sow the maize seeds, the song is sung in the hopes of appeasing local dieites to protect the plants and render timely rain. This short song says that the male deity at the right and female deity at the left, providing their protection. According to Pema, this song is less commonly performed these days as young people lose interest.
