Tsangmo poetry is traditionally narrated in the form of a verbal exchange between boys and girls with the goal of foreseeing their fate. Sometimes people are divided into groups that compete against each other. Nowadays, people in Bhutan have very little interest in this tradition, for they are always engaged with other kinds of entertainments. Very few people still practice such traditions, and only in remote parts of country. In towns and cities, people never exchange ballads.
