- TEKयो भुकम्प आउँदा भुकम्प हो, मन देखि थाहा भयो कि भएन (तपाइँलाई)?When there was earthquake, did you know from your mind (soul), or

- DAMशुरूमा छक्क के के होला जस्तो लाग्यो (मनदेखि)।In the beginning, I was surprised to some extent.

- DAMत्यो चाहिँ पहिला पहिला यस्तो भन्थे।(People) used to say like this before.

- DAM(औँला) थिचे पनि उत्तानो (यता उता) हल्लायो।Even if (I) pressed the thumb, I was shaken upside down.
- TEKत्यो भुकम्प आउँदा खेरि चाहिँWhen there was the earthquake,
- TEKएक क्षण त्यहाँ बस्नु भयो कि फेरियता घर आउनु भयो?did you stay there for a short time, or come home again?
- DAMखेतमा एक क्षण बस्ता बस्दै (भुकम्प) घट्यो (कम भयो)।While sitting in the field, the earthquake was less severe.
- DAMघट्यो, अनि बल्ल घर फर्केँ।(It) became less. Then only I came home.
- TEKत्यति खेर तपाइँको साथी (बुढा)कहाँ थिए?Where was your brother then (that time)?
- DAMउगिन छुकेल हो, उ घर भित्र सुतीरहेका थिए।Ugin Chuken is (my husband). He was sitting inside the house.

- TEKत्यति खेर मनमा के के सोच्यौ? त्यो मान्छे,During that time, what did you think in your mind? (about) that man?
- TEKसबै मान्छे हरू मरे होलान् भन्ने सोच्यौ कि?Did you think that all men died?
- DAMमेरो मनले चाहिँ सोच्यो कि जमिन पल्ट्यो।I thought that the soil (earth) fell (upside down).

- DAMसबै जना खेतमा सँगसँगै यस्तो गर्यौँ (बस्यौँ)।(We) all did like this in the field, like this.
- DAMमानी (बोलेर) मन्त्र यस्तै बस्यौँ।Changing the (Budhdhist religious) hymns, (we) sat (there).
- DAMसबैजनाले माथि हेर्यौँ, गाउँ भित्र सबै जना सबै जनाAll (of us) looked up, all people in the village,

- DAMकुनै चाहिँ बाहिर (गएका) मरे होलान्।Perhaps those who had gone out might have died.
- DAMयस्तो भयो कि, घर बस्नेहरूलाई।(It) happened like this for those who are living at home.
- DAMकोही रूँदै थिए, कोहि,Some were weeping, some
- DAMकोही चाहिँ रोएनन्।Some (people)did not weep.
- DAMपरिवारसँग भएका चाहिँ रोएनन्।Those who were with the families did not weep.
- TEKतपाइँको ठूलो छोरा पनि काठमान्डुमा छन्, हैन?Your elder son is also in Kathmandu, right?

- TEKलामो बाटो काठमान्डुमा छ हैन?The long road is to Kathmandu, right?
- TEKउनीहरूले फोन गर्न त्यो बेलुका नै फोन गर्न पाए कि?Did they have a chance to make a phone call in the same night, right?
- TEKभोलि दुई दिन पछि फोन गर्न पाए हो?They got a chance to make a phone call in two days, right?
- DAMत्यो दिन फोन गर्न जाने मन थियो, आता तेन्जिङ्लेI wanted to go to make a phone call in the same day, (but) Ata
- DAMफोन गर्न गयो तर फोन गएन।(he) went to make a phone call, but (he) did not call.
- DAMयता बाटै (बाटो पनि) थिएन।There was no road from this side.
- DAMभोलि (पल्ट) बल्ल फोन गर्न पाएँ।I had a chance to to make a call next day.
- DAMभोलि पल्ट फोन गर्दाWhile making a call next day,
- DAMफोन उठाउनै मानेन, उनीहरू यता उता(they) did not receive (the call), they, on that side (there),
- DAMसोध्यो अहिले फोन उठाउँदिन।(we) asked, but they did not receive the phone.
- DAMकसैले फोन उठाउने रहेछन्।Some (people) would receive the phone.
- DAMउनीहरू अहिले बाहिर घुर (पाल) टाँगेर बसिरहेका थिए।They have been living outside (the home) fixing a tent.
- TEKभुकम्प आएपछि हाम्रा गाउँलेहरूलाई चोटपटक लागेको छैन होला?After the earthquake, are the villagers wounded, or not?

- DAMपन्ध्र सोह्रओटा मरेछन्।About fifteen or sixteen (cows) died.

- DAMआए।Yes, they did.
- TEKसँस्थाबाट कुन सँस्था(ले) के के राहत दिए?Which organization gave what kind of relief materials?
- DAMपाल दिए, रारा (चाउचाउ) दिए।(They) gave (us) the tents and noodles.

- DAMत्यो बिस्कुट दिए, चिउरा दिए।(They) gave us biscuit and beaten rice.
- DAMदिए, यो चामल, तेल,(They) gave, (they gave) the rice, cooking oil,
- DAMयस्तो दिए।(They) gave like this.
- TEKयो हाम्रो कुताङ् छ नि,Our Kutang village, you know,
- TEKकुताङ् पनि हो, नुब्रि पनि हो, मान्छे सबै,there is the Kutang village, Nubri village, and all men,

- TEKबुद्ध धर्म पुजा गर्ने होइन त?(They) worship the Buddhism, right?

- TEKनआओस् भनेर फेरिhoping that it should not come,
- TEKगाबिस होला, गाउँले होलान्, यता पुजापाठthere is the VDC, villagers, and worships,
- TEKपुजा पाठहरू गर्यौ कि गरेनौ?did you do the worships, or not?
- DAMहाम्रो यता खेतमा पुजा पाठहरू गर्यौँ।(We) did the worships in the field in this side?
- DAMझिङ्साक् (पुजा) गर्यौँ।(We) made the worship of Jhingkang worship.
- DAMदुई दिन दुई दिनको लागि बजगोरू (मन्त्र) पढ्यौँ।(We) changted the Bajgoru hymns for two or three days.

- DAMयता उता भएका थिए मकै सवै लडाइ दिएछ।The maize fell here and there, towards the cliff.
- DAMनलडेको (मकै)हरू राम्रै छन्।Those which do not fall are good.
- DAMलडेका (मकै)हरू अब खेत यता उता लडे, मकैसँगै।The maize plants fallen are here and there, with the maize,
- DAMगयो।(they) went.
- DAMउता क्रुतिर यसै यता उता गएको (भएको) छ।Towards there, they (have) scattered here and there.
- TEKकाकि काकिको मनमा चाहिँ यो भुकम्प भनेको के हो?In your mine, what is the earthquake?
- DAMअब के छ यस्तोHow is this like?
- DAMथाहै छैन, पहिला तिर यस्तैI don't know, in the beginning,
- DAMतल देखि छ निfrom down below (there),
- DAMयस्तै हात्ति जस्तै भगवान(there) is a god, like the god,

- DAMयस्तो भन्छन हो कि होइन।(They) say like this, whether this is true or not.
- DAMखै यस्तो त थाहै छैन।I don't know like these things.
- TEKयस्तो ठूलो भुकम्प पहिले तिर (पहिला पहिला) आएको थियो कि थिएन?Was there ever an earthquake like this before?
