Video Overview
In this video, Aum Rin Dema from Haa in Kartshog shares a lozey that speaks about how Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal was invited to come to Bhutan. The lozey says that Bodh Gaya is a religious site and a place of pilgrimage. The main place where the dharma flourishes, however, is Tibet. The place where wealth and prosperity meet is in Bhutan, and even though Zhabdrung was born in Tibet, following a prophecy he came to Bhutan at last.
ཧཱ་ སྐར་ཚོགས་ལས་ ཨང་རྒས་རིན་སྒྲོལ་མ་གིས་འབད་ ཞབས་དྲུང་རིན་པོ་ཆེ་ བོད་ལས་ཞུ་བའི་གཏམ་བཤད་ཟེར་ དེ་ཡང་བློ་ཟེ་ནང་བསྒྱུརཝ་སྦེ་ བཤད་པའི་སྐབས་ གནམ་མེད་ས་མེད་ཅིག་མི་ཤེས་པས་ ཨ་ཙི་ཞུ་གེ་ཟེར་ བཤད་མི་ནང་ ས་ཡི་ལྟེ་བ་རྒྱ་གར་རྡོ་རྗེ་གདན། །དམ་ཆོས་དར་བ་སྐུ་རྗེ་བོད་ཀྱི་ས། །ཟས་ནོར་འཛོམས་པ་ལྷོ་མོན་ཁ་བཞི་ཁ། །ཟེར་ སའི་ལྟེ་བ་རྒྱ་གར་རྡོ་རྗེ་གདན་འབད་རུང་ དམ་པའི་ཆོས་དར་ས་བོད་དང་ ཟས་ནོར་ལོངས་སྤྱོད་འཛོམས་ས་ ལྷོ་མོན་འབྲུག་ལུ་ཨིན་ཟེར་ ཞབས་དྲུང་རིན་པོ་ཆེ་ འཁྲུངས་ས་བོད་ལས་འཁྲུངས་རུང་ ལུང་བསྟན་གདུལ་བྱ་དུས་ལུ་བབས་ཏེ་ ལྷོ་མོན་འབྲུག་ལུ་བྱོན་ཏེ་བཞུགས་པའི་སྐོར་ལས་ འཐོན་ནི་འདུག།

- རིན་སྒྲོལ་མ Rin Demaད་ང་གིས་ གནམ་མེད་ས་མེད་འདི་ ང་ཡང་མི་ཤེས་ལགས།Now, I also don't know much la.
- རིན་སྒྲོལ་མ Rin Demaད་ནཱི་ར་ཨིན་རུང་ ཁུ་བཅགཁྱོད་གསུངམ་ད་ ང་གིས་ཞུ་གེ[] Still, I will recite since you ask.
- རིན་སྒྲོལ་མ Rin Demaཏེ་བླམ་ཞབས་དྲུང་ བོད་ལས་ཞུ་ནི་འདི་ གྲ་གྲརྫོགས་རྫོགས་བར་དུ་ ང་འབད་མི་ཚུ་ལགས ཏེ་ནཱི་འབདཝ་ད་ ང་ཨ་ཙི་ཙི་ཞུ་གེ་གཉགམས་ལགས།[] [] So, about inviting Lama Zhabdrung from Tibet, I can not recite the full ballad. But I will recite few (lines), alright la.
- བསོད་ནམས་ཆོས་སྒྲོན Sonam Chodenལགས་སོ་བཏུབ་ལགས།Laso, thats okay la.
- རིན་སྒྲོལ་མ Rin Demaཏེ་ ནཱེམ་བླམ་ཞབས་དྲུང་ བོད་ལས་ཞུ་ནི། སའི་ལྟེཝ་རྒྱ་གར་རྡོ་རྗེ་གདན། །So, inviting Zhabdrung from Tibet: The center of the earth, Bodh Gaya in India.
- རིན་སྒྲོལ་མ Rin Demaདམ་ཆོས་དར་བ་སྐུ་རྗེས་བོད་ཀྱི་ས། །The land of Tibet is where the Dharma flourishes.
- རིན་སྒྲོལ་མ Rin Demaཟས་ནོར་འཛོམས་པ་ལྷོ་སྨན༼མོན༽་ཁ་བཞི་ཁར་ཟེར། །The Southern Dark Land of Four Approaches is where the wealth accumulates. Like this.
- རིན་སྒྲོལ་མ Rin Demaཏེ་སྐུ་འཁྲུངས་པ་བོད་ཁམས་གཡུས་ལུ་འཁྲུངས། །So, in Tibet was he (Zhabdrung) born.
- རིན་སྒྲོལ་མ Rin Demaཞལ་སྒོར་བ་ལྷོ་སྨན་ཁ་བཞི་སྒོརར། །To the Southern Dark Land of Four Approaches, did he turn his face.
- རིན་སྒྲོལ་མ Rin Demaལྷོཔ་སྐྱེས་བ་ཆེ་སྟེ་འཐོབ་མེན། །It was not because of the abundance of luck the Southerners got him.
- རིན་སྒྲོལ་མ Rin Demaབོད་སྐྱེཝ་ཆུང་སྟེ་ཤོརཝ་མེན། །It was not because of the scarcity of luck that the Tibetans lost (him).
- རིན་སྒྲོལ་མ Rin Demaང་ལུང་བསྟན་ལྷོ་ལུ་འབབ་ཨིན་ཟེར། །So, as is destined to the South.
- རིན་སྒྲོལ་མ Rin Demaཏེ་ངེ་ཆིབས་ཁ་ལྷོ་ལུ་སྒོར་གནང་མས་ཟེར། །So, please turn my riding horse towards the South.
- རིན་སྒྲོལ་མ Rin Demaད་ཆིབས་ཁ་ལྷོ་ལུ་སྒོར་གནང་མས། །Now, turn the riding horse towards the South, please.
- རིན་སྒྲོལ་མ Rin Demaངེའི་གངས་ཀྱི་ཁྲི་གདུགས་ཉི་མ་རྒྱན། །My mountain (top) is adorned with the sun [rays].
- རིན་སྒྲོལ་མ Rin Demaགངས་མཇུག་ཆུ་བཤལ་ཟླ་བའི་རྒྱན། །The base of the mountain adorned with the moon [rays].
- རིན་སྒྲོལ་མ Rin Demaགངས་བར་དཀར་གསལ་ཁྲ་མ་རྒྱན། །In between the mountains adorned with lights.
- རིན་སྒྲོལ་མ Rin Demaགངས་འོག་དར་དང་གོས་ཆེན་རྒྱན། །Underneath, the mountain adorned with silks and scarves.
- རིན་སྒྲོལ་མ Rin Demaང་ཆིབས་ཁ་ལྷོ་ལུ་སྒོར་གནང་མས། །Turn me (my) riding horse towards the South, please.
- རིན་སྒྲོལ་མ Rin Demaང་ལུང་བསྟན་ལྷོ་ལུ་འབབ་ཨིན་ལོ། །It is said I am destined to the South.
- རིན་སྒྲོལ་མ Rin Demaཏེ་བླམ་ཞབས་དྲུང་ བོད་ལས་ཞུ་ནི་འདི་ འ་ནཱེ་ཅིག་ཨིན་མས་ལགས།So, that is all about inviting Lama Zhabdrung from Tibet.
