རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

རེ་ཞིག་་་་སྤྱིར་མི་སུས་གཡོ་སྒྱུ་བྱས་པ་ཡིན་པ་ཡིན་ནའི་མཐའ་མ་དེའི་

re zhig spyir mi sus g.yo sgyu byas pa yin pa yin na'i mtha' ma de'i

in the mean time,whoever is being deceitful in end up like

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

རང་ཉིད་དང་མི་གཞན་ཚང་མ་ལ་གནོད་པ་ཡོང་གི་རེད་ཟེར་

rang nyid dang mi gzhan tshang ma la gnod pa yong gi red zer

general harm will fall upon oneself and other people.

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

གཡོ་སྒྱུ་བྱས་པའི་ལས་དེ་མཚམས་མཚམས་ལ་སྐབས་སྐབས་ལ་ག་རེ་བྱེད་ཀྱི་ཡོད་རེད་ཟེར་ན་

g.yo sgyu byas pa'i las de mtshams mtshams la skabs skabs la ga re byed kyi yod red zer na

And what these deceitful action do every now and then is it sometimes

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

རྟས་དབང་གིས་དེ་གྲུབ་འདི་འདྲས་ཡོད་རེད་ཟེར་

rtas dbang gis de grub 'di 'dras yod red zer

accompleshes the (job) out of blue.

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

ཡིན་ནའི་གཡོ་སྒྱུ་དེ་ཧ་ཅང་གི་མང་དྲགས་པ་ཡིན་ན་

yin na'i g.yo sgyu de ha cang gi mang drags pa yin na _

But, if the deceitful means are too much,

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

རེ་ཞིག་གམ་འཁྱུག་ཙམ་ཡང་ན་གནས་སྐབས་ཞིག་

re zhig gam 'khyug tsam yang na gnas skabs zhig

in the mean time,for a moment to for the time being

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

དུས་ཚོད་ཐུང་ཐུང་གཅིག་གི་ནང་ལོགས་ལ་ག་རེ་བྱེད་ཀྱི་ཡོད་རེད་ཟེར་ན་གྲུབ་པ་

dus tshod thung thung gcig gi nang logs la ga re byed kyi yod red zer na grub pa _

or in the short time whar they do is accoplishes (the job).

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

གཡོ་སྒྱུ་བཤད་པ་འདི་ག་རེ་བྱེད་ཀྱི་ཡོད་རེད་ཟེར་ན་ལེགས་གྲུབ་ཡོང་གི་ཡོད་རེད་ཟེར་

g.yo sgyu bshad pa 'di ga re byed kyi yod red zer na legs grub yong gi yod red zer

What being deceitful does is it successfully gets the job done.

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

མགོ་བསྐོར་བཏང་པ་འདི་ཏག་ཏག་གྲུབ་ཀྱི་ཡོད་རེད་

mgo bskor btang pa 'di tag tag grub kyi yod red _

Through cheating (it) is exactly accomplished.

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

ཡིན་ནའི་ཡང་དེ་དུས་ཚོད་རིང་པོ་འགྲོ་དུས་ཙ་ནས་

yin na'i yang de dus tshod ring po 'gro dus tsa nas

But, as the time pases

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

མི་ཚང་མས་དེ་ཧ་གོ་བྱས་དེའི་ཚང་དེ་ཕར་གཏོལ་དུས་ཙམ་པར་

mi tshang mas de ha go byas de'i tshang de phar gtol dus tsam par

everybody will know (find about) it and when the faults are pointed out

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

སོ་སོའི་གཡོ་སྒྱུ་འདི་རྦད་དེ་འཛོལ་བྱས་ཕར་

so so'i g.yo sgyu 'di rbad de 'dzol byas phar

your deceitful (means) become open and

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

མགོ་བསྐོར་བཏང་ཡས་ཀྱི་འདི་འཛོལ་བྱེད་བྱས་

mgo bskor btang yas kyi 'di 'dzol byed byas

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

མཐའ་མ་དེར་རང་ཉིད་བརླག་པ་བྱེད་ཀྱི་ཡོད་རེད་ཟེར་

mtha' ma der rang nyid brlag pa byed kyi yod red zer

It means in the end this will make oneself disappear.

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

བརླག་་་བརླག་ཟེར་དུས་ཙ་ནས་སྤྱིར་ག་རེ་ཟེར་གྱི་ཡོད་རེད་ཟེར་ན་

brlag brlag zer dus tsa nas spyir ga re zer gyi yod red zer na

When we say "disappear,disappear" what it means in general is:

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

དངོས་པོ་བརླག་པ་ཟེར་ན་དངོས་པོ་འབོར་བ་ལ་ཟེར་གྱི་ཡོད་རེད་

dngos po brlag pa zer na dngos po 'bor ba la zer gyi yod red

the word "disappearance of things" means losing things.

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

མེད་པ་ཆགས་པ་རེད་པ་་

med pa chags pa red pa

(It) is gone,right?

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

རང་ཉིད་བརླག་པ་ཟེར་ན་ག་རེ་ཟེར་ཟེར་ན་

rang nyid brlag pa zer na ga re zer zer na

Disappearance of oneself means:

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

སྤྱིར་རང་ཉིད་ལ་གཏམ་སྙན་དྲགས་མང་པོ་ཞེ་དྲགས་ཡོད་རེད་

spyir rang nyid la gtam snyan drags mang po zhe drags yod red

in general you have a lot of fame(big fame).

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

ཨོའོ་་ཁོང་ཡག་པོ་ཞེ་དྲགས་ཡོད་རེད

o'o khong yag po zhe drags yod red

Oh, he/she is very good.

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

ཁོང་ལ་གཏམ་ཡོད་རེད་རེད་པ་

khong la gtam yod red red pa

He/she has fame.

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

དེ་ནང་བཞིན་གྱི་ཤེས་བྱ་ཡོན་ཏན་ཡོད་རེད་

de nang bzhin gyi shes bya yon tan yod red

Like wise (he/she) is knowlegeable.

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

ཡིན་ནའི་སོ་སོ་ཡིན་པ་ཡིན་ན་

yin na'i so so yin pa yin na

But as for oneself

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

གཡོ་སྒྱུ་དེ་ཧ་ཅང་གི་མང་དྲགས་པའི་རྐྱེན་གྱིས་

g.yo sgyu de ha cang gi mang drags pa'i rkyen gyis

because of too much deceitful

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

མཐའ་མ་དེ་ལ་་་་འོང་་་

mtha' ma de la 'ong

(you will be) end up

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

ཕུང་བ་ཕུང་འགྲོ་གི་ཡོད་རེད་ཟེར་

phung ba phung 'gro gi yod red zer

ruined

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

ཕུང་པ་ཆགས་འགྲོ་གི་ཡོད་རེད་ཟེར་

phung pa chags 'gro gi yod red zer

it means you will be ruined.

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

བྱས་ཙང་ག་རེ་ལབ་པ་རས་༼རེད་༽ཟེར་ན་

byas tsang ga re lab pa ras (red )zer na

So, whar it says is

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

གཡོ་སྒྱུ་ཟེར་ཡས་སྤྱིར་བཏང་གི་བྱས་ན་མི་གང་གས་སྤངས་དགོས་ཡས་ཀྱི་བྱ་བ་ཅིག་རེད་

g.yo sgyu zer yas spyir btang gi byas na mi gang gas spangs dgos yas kyi bya ba cig red

the "deceitful (mean)",in the general,are actions that have to be eliminated by all people.

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

གཡོ་སྒྱུ་་བྱས་པ་ཡིན་ན་རང་གཞན་གཉིས་ཀ་ལ་ཕན་པ་མེད་པའི་གནོད་པ་མང་པོ་ཡོད་རེད་

g.yo sgyu byas pa yin na rang gzhan gnyis ka la phan pa med pa'i gnod pa mang po yod red

If you are deceiful there are many harms that are not helpful to you and others.

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

གཡུ་སྒྱུ་བཤད་པས་བྱ་བ་དེ་ལ་སྐབས་སྐབས་ལ་རྟས་དབང་གི་འབྲས་བུ་འཐོབ་ཀྱི་ཡོད་རེད་དའི་

g.yu sgyu bshad pas bya ba de la skabs skabs la rtas dbang gi 'bras bu 'thob kyi yod red da'i

For the actions done through deceitful (mind) (you) do accomplish (some) results out of blue sometimes.

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

འདི་ཡིན་ན་གནས་སྐབས་ཙམ་གཅིག་རེད་

'di yin na gnas skabs tsam gcig red

Nevertheless,it is just temporary.

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

མཐའ་མ་མཐའ་མ་དེ་ལ་ག་རེ་བྱེད་ཀྱི་རེད་ཟེར་ན་

mtha' ma mtha' ma de la ga re byed kyi red zer na

What happens in the end is:

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

རང་ཉིད་གཡོ་སྒྱུ་་བཤད་མཁན་རང་ཉིད་དེ་ཕུང་བ་བྱས་

rang nyid g.yo sgyu bshad mkhan rang nyid de phung ba byas

you-one who is deceiveing (other)- will be ruined

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

བཤད་ས་ཡུལ་དེ་ལ་གནོད་པ་བྱས་དེ་འདྲས་ཡོང་གི་ཡོད་རེད་ཟེར་

bshad sa yul de la gnod pa byas de 'dras yong gi yod red zer

and (it) harms the people whom you deceived and so forth.

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

དེ་དོན་འདི་རེད་

de don 'di red

This is what that means.

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

དཔེ་གང་འདྲས་ཟེར་ཆ་བཞག་པ་རེད་ཟེར་ན་

dpe gang 'dras zer cha bzhag pa red zer na

If asked,"how does this analogy work?"

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

གཟིག་ལྤགས་བཀབ་པའི་བང་བུ་ཡིས་

gzig lpags bkab pa'i bang bu yis

"The donkey that was covered in leopard's skin

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

ལོ་ཐོག་ཟོས་མཐར་གཞན་གྱིས་བསད་

lo thog zos mthar gzhan gyis bsad

Was killed by others ventually after having eaten crops."

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

དཔེ་ན་ཆ་བཞག་ན་དཔེ་འདི་དེ་འདྲས་ཟེར་རེད་

dpe na cha bzhag na dpe 'di de 'dras zer red

For istance,this anlogy works this way. It is said

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

སྔོན་མ་ཆོག་ཤེས་གཅིག་ཀྱང་མེད་པའི་ཕྱུག་པོ་ཅིག་ཡོད་རེད་བྱས་པ་རེད་

sngon ma chog shes gcig kyang med pa'i phyug po cig yod red byas pa red

that in the past there was a rich person

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

མི་ཕྱུག་པོ་གཅིག་

mi phyug po gcig

a rich person

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

ཁྱིམ་ཚང་གི་ནོར་ཕྱུག་པོ་ཞེ་པོ་ཅིག་ཡོད་རེད་

khyim tshang gi nor phyug po zhe po cig yod red

that rich person had a lot of family's wealth.

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

ཡིན་ནའི་ཁོ་ནོར་ཕྱུག་པོ་ཡོད་པ་ཡིན་ནའི་

yin na'i kho nor phyug po yod pa yin na'i

However, even though he had a lot of wealth

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

ག་རེ་ཡོད་མ་རེད་ཟེར་ན་

ga re yod ma red zer na

what he did not have was

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

ཆོག་ཤེས་ཡོད་མ་རེད་བྱས་པ་རེད་

chog shes yod ma red byas pa red

a sence of contentment.

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

འདི་ང་ཚོ་ཏོག་ཙམ་ཅིག་ནས་སླེབས་ཀྱི་རེད་

'di nga tsho tog tsam cig nas slebs kyi red

This will come after some time in us.

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

ཆོག་ཤེས་་་་་ཆོག་ཤེས་ཡོད་མ་རེད་ཟེ་༼ཟེར་༽

chog shes chog shes yod ma red ze (zer )

(It is said) that (he) had no sense of contentment;

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

ཁོ་ཡིན་ན་རང་འདོད་ཆེན་པོ་ཡོད་རེད་ཟེ་༼ཟེར་༽

kho yin na rang 'dod chen po yod red ze (zer )

he was very selfish;

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

ནོར་ལ་སེམས་ན་ཞེ་དྲགས་ཡོད་རེད་ཟེ་༼ཟེར་༽

nor la sems na zhe drags yod red ze (zer )

he was very stingy.

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

ཡོད་ཙང་ག་རེ་བྱེད་ཀྱི་ཡོད་རེད་ཟེར་ན་

yod tsang ga re byed kyi yod red zer na

Because of that

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

ཁོས་ཁྱིམ་ཚང་གི་བོང་བུ་དེ་ལ་

khos khyim tshang gi bong bu de la

what he did was he did not feed this family's donkey

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

སེམས་ནའི་དབང་གིས་ཟས་མ་སྦྱིན་པ་བྱས་

sems na'i dbang gis zas ma sbyin pa byas

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

ཐབས་ཤེས་བཏང་བྱས་

thabs shes btang byas

because of niserliness.

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

ཨོའོ་་་ངས་ང་རང་གི་ཟས་དང་ནོར་དེ་གས་བེད་སྤྱོད་མ་བཏང་པ་ལ་བོང་བུ་དེ་གསོ་ཡས་ཅིག་ཐབས་ཤེས་བཏང་གི་ཡོད་རེད་

o'o ngas nga rang gi zas dang nor de gas bed spyod ma btang pa la bong bu de gso yas cig thabs shes btang gi yod red

And he was thinking, he was planning to nuture the donkey without using one's food and wealth.

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

ཐབས་ཤེས་བཏང་བྱས་ཁོས་གཡོ་སྒྱུའི་ངང་ནས་ག་རེ་བྱས་པ་རེད་ཟེར་ན་

thabs shes btang byas khos g.yo sgyu'i ngang nas ga re byas pa red zer na

Having planned what he did out of deceitful mind was

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

ངས་གལ་སྲིད་བོང་བུ་དེ་མི་གཞན་དག་གི་ཞིང་ཁའི་སྒང་ལ་བཏང་པ་ཡིན་ན་

ngas gal srid bong bu de mi gzhan dag gi zhing kha'i sgang la btang pa yin na

"If I let the donkey out into other people's field

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

ལོ་ཏོག་ཟས་པ་ཡིན་ན་ངས་ཁ་ལག་སྟེར་དགོས་མ་རེད་

lo tog zas pa yin na ngas kha lag ster dgos ma red

and if (he) eats the crops (from other people's) I will not have to give him food.

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

བོང་བུ་ལ་མི་སུས་ཀྱང་ཞེད་ཀྱི་མ་རེད་

bong bu la mi sus kyang zhed kyi ma red

However, when the donkey finished eating other people's food, none of the people will be afraid of the donkey.

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

མ་ཞེད་ཙང་ཁོང་ཚོས་ངའི་བོང་བུ་ལམ་སེང་ཕར་པིད་ཀྱི་རེད་

ma zhed tsang khong tshos nga'i bong bu lam seng phar pid kyi red

Since (they) will not be afraid they will kick the donkey out of immediately.

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

ལོ་ཏོག་ཟ་བཅུག་གི་མ་རེད་

lo tog za bcug gi ma red

(They will not let the donkey eta the crop."

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

བྱས་ཙང་ཁོས་ག་རེ་བྱས་པ་ཟེར་ན་

byas tsang khos ga re byas pa zer na

So what he did was,

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

གཡོ་སྒྱུ་སྒོ་ནས་མགོ་བསྐོར་བཏང་ཡས་ཀྱི་བསམ་བློ་ག་རེ་ཅིག་བཏང་པ་རེད་ཟེར་ན་

g.yo sgyu sgo nas mgo bskor btang yas kyi bsam blo ga re cig btang pa red zer na

how he thought he would deceive them was to cover up or put a leopard's sin

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

བོང་བུ་དེའི་སྒང་ལ་གཟིག་པགས་གཟིག་གི་པགས་པ་བཀབ་པ་འམ་གཡོགས་པ་

bong bu de'i sgang la gzig pags gzig gi pags pa bkab pa 'am g.yogs pa

to cover up or put a leopard's skin on the donkey.

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

གཟིག་ཀྱི་པགས་པ་དེ་བཀབ་བྱས་བཟོ་བལྟ་དེ་ག་རེ་ནང་བཞིན་བཟོས་པ་རེད་ཟེར་ན་

gzig kyi pags pa de bkab byas bzo blta de ga re nang bzhin bzos pa red zer na

Having covered (him) up in leopard's skin what kind of shape he made was (he) was made

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

གཟིག་ནང་བཞིན་བཟོས་གཟིག་ནང་བཞིན་བཟོ་ཡས་ཀྱི་དམིགས་ཡུལ་དེ་ག་རེ་རེད་ཟེར་ན་

gzig nang bzhin bzos gzig nang bzhin bzo yas kyi dmigs yul de ga re red zer na

exactly like leopard.What the objective of making (him) exactly like leopard was

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

སོ་སོའི་ནོར་བེད་སྤྱོད་བཏང་མི་དགོས་པ་ཟས་བེད་སྤྱོད་བཏང་མི་དགོས་པར་

so so'i nor bed spyod btang mi dgos pa zas bed spyod btang mi dgos par

to let the donkey coverd in leopard's skin eat other people's crop without having to use one's wealth,without having to use one's food.

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

གཟིག་པགས་བཀབ་པའི་བོང་བུ་དེས་མི་གཞན་དག་གི་ལོ་ཏོག་དེ་གས་ཟ་རུ་བཅུག་པ་རེད་ཟེར་

gzig pags bkab pa'i bong bu des mi gzhan dag gi lo tog de gas za ru bcug pa red zer

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

ད་ཁོ་ཡིན་ན་གནས་སྐབས་ཞིག་གྲུབ་པ་རེད་

da kho yin na gnas skabs zhig grub pa red

Now, the time being he was successful.

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

ག་རེ་གྲུབ་པ་རེད་ཟེར་ན་

ga re grub pa red zer na

What he accoplished was,

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

གྲོང་ཚོའི་མི་ཚང་མས་ཨོའི་གཟིག་ཞིག་ང་ཚོའི་ཞིང་ཁའི་སྒང་ལ་སླེབས་ཤག་

grong tsho'i mi tshang mas o'i gzig zhig nga tsho'i zhing kha'i sgang la slebs shag

all town people said,"oh a leopard has come into our field.

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

གཟིག་ལ་ང་ཚོ་ཞེད་ཀྱིས་ད་ཐབས་ཤེས་མིན་འདུག་

gzig la nga tsho zhed kyis da thabs shes min 'dug

We are scared of leopard.Now,there no means."

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

རེ་ཞིག་གྲུབ་པ་རེད་ཟེར་གཡོ་སྒྱུ་འདི་རེ་ཞིག་གྲུབ་པ་རེད་ཟེར་

re zhig grub pa red zer g.yo sgyu 'di re zhig grub pa red zer

It is accomplished for the time being.This deceitful mind was successful for a time being.

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

ཡིན་ན་ཡང་མཐའ་མ་དེར་མི་གང་ག་ཡ་མཚན་པ་རེད་

yin na yang mtha' ma der mi gang ga ya mtshan pa red

However, in the end everybody was surprised:

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

གཟིག་གིས་ལོ་ཏོག་དེ་འདྲས་ཟ་གི་མ་རེད་

gzig gis lo tog de 'dras za gi ma red

a leopard would not eat that much crop;

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

རྩྭ་མང་པོ་དེ་འདྲས་ཟ་གི་མ་རེད་

rtswa mang po de 'dras za gi ma red

(a leopard) would not eat that much grass;

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

ཞིང་ཁ་མང་པོ་དེ་འདྲས་ཟ་གི་མ་རེད་

zhing kha mang po de 'dras za gi ma red

(he) will not eat that manay fields.

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

བྱས་ཙང་མི་གང་ག་དོགས་པ་ཟས་བྱས་

byas tsang mi gang ga dogs pa zas byas

Becuase of that,everybady was doubtful;

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

མི་གང་ག་རུབ་རུབ་བཟོས་བྱས་

mi gang ga rub rub bzos byas

everybody gathered together;

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

ག་རེ་བྱས་པ་རེད་ཟེར་ན་

ga re byas pa red zer na

and what they did was

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

གཟིག་པགས་བཀབ་པའི་བོང་བུ་དེ་བསད་པ་རེད་

gzig pags bkab pa'i bong bu de bsad pa red

(they) killed the donkey covered in leopard's skin.

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

བསད་དུས་ཙམ་པར་མཐའ་མ་དེ་ལ་ག་རེ་བྱས་པ་རེད་ཟེར་ན་

bsad dus tsam par mtha' ma de la ga re byas pa red zer na

When they killed (the donkey) what they did in the end was

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

བོང་བུ་ཡིན་པ་གཤེན་པ་རེད་

bong bu yin pa gshen pa red

(they) found of that (it) was a donkey.

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

བྱས་ཙང་ཁྱིམ་བདག་དེས་བོང་བུའི་ཁྱིམ་བདག་དེས་ཆོག་ཤེས་ཁྱོན་ནས་མེད་པའི་སྒོ་ནས་

byas tsang khyim bdag des bong bu'i khyim bdag des chog shes khyon nas med pa'i sgo nas

So,the landlord (the head of the family), the owner of the donkey used the method of deceitfu means this way

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

འདོད་པ་ཆུང་ཆུང་ཁྱོན་ནས་མིན་པའི་སྒོ་ནས་ག་རེ་བྱས་པའི་

'dod pa chung chung khyon nas min pa'i sgo nas ga re byas pa'i

without any contentment and any sense fo being less desirous.

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

གཡུ་སྒྱུས་ཐབས་ཤེས་དེ་འདྲས་ཟེར་བེད་སྤྱོད་

g.yu sgyus thabs shes de 'dras zer bed spyod

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

སོ་སོའི་ཁྱིམ་ཚང་གི་བོང་བུ་དེ་ལ་གཟིག་པགས་གཡོགས་

so so'i khyim tshang gi bong bu de la gzig pags g.yogs

(he) put the leopard's skin on one's family donkey;

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

གཟིག་པགས་གཡོགས་བྱས་མི་གཞན་གྱི་ལོ་ཏོག་ཟ་རུ་བཅུག་

gzig pags g.yogs byas mi gzhan gyi lo tog za ru bcug

(he) made (the donkey) eat other people's crop.

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

གནས་སྐབས་ཞིག་རིང་འགྲིག་ཤག་

gnas skabs zhig ring 'grig shag

it was ok for a time being.

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

ཡིན་ན་ཡའི་༼ཡང་༽མཐའ་མ་དེ་ལ་ག་རེ་བྱས་པ་རེད་ཟེར་ན་

yin na ya'i (yang )mtha' ma de la ga re byas pa red zer na

However, what happened in the end was

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

མི་གཞན་གྱི་སོ་སོའི་བོང་བུ་དེ་བསད་པ་རེད་

mi gzhan gyi so so'i bong bu de bsad pa red

other people killed one's donkey;

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

བོང་བུ་དེ་མེད་པ་ཆགས་པ་རེད་

bong bu de med pa chags pa red

the donkey became non existent.

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

འདི་དང་གཅིག་པ་རེད་

'di dang gcig pa red

(it) is similar to this.

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

གཡོ་སྒྱུ་གཡོ་སྒྱུ་ཟེར་ཡས་དེ་ནམ་རྒྱུན་ང་ཚོས་ཆ་བཞག་པ་ཡིན་ན་

g.yo sgyu g.yo sgyu zer yas de nam rgyun nga tshos cha bzhag pa yin na

This so-called deceitful mind,deceitful mind, is also considered as one of the non-virtuous (actions) from our perspective in general.

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

མི་དགེ་བའི་བའི་ནང་ལ་ཡང་རྩིས་ཀྱི་ཡོད་རེད་

mi dge ba'i ba'i nang la yang rtsis kyi yod red

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

གཡོ་སྒྱུ་ཟེར་ན་གང་འདྲས་རེ་ཅིག་ལ་ཟེར་གྱི་ཡོད་རེད་ཟེར་ན་

g.yo sgyu zer na gang 'dras re cig la zer gyi yod red zer na

What this 'deceitful thought' sort of refers to is:

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

སོ་སོའི་སྐྱོན་འདི་ཕར་སྦས་

so so'i skyon 'di phar sbas

when (you) cheat other people by hiding one's fault.

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

མི་གཞན་དག་ལ་མགོ་བསྐོར་བཏང་ཡས་འདི་འདྲས་ཅིག་ལ་གཡུ་སྒྱུ་ཟེར་གྱི་ཡོད་རེད་

mi gzhan dag la mgo bskor btang yas 'di 'dras cig la g.yu sgyu zer gyi yod red

and fooling other people,that is called deceitful.

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

བྱས་ཙང་དེ་རེད་ཟེར་གཡུ་སྒྱུ་བྱས་པ་དེ་དེ་འདྲས་ཅིག་རེད་ཟེར་

byas tsang de red zer g.yu sgyu byas pa de de 'dras cig red zer

So,this is it; this is what is meant by deceitful mind.

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

བྱས་ཙང་དེའི་ནང་ལོགས་གི་དོན་དག་དེ་ག་རེ་བྱས་པ་རེད་ཟེར་ན་

byas tsang de'i nang logs gi don dag de ga re byas pa red zer na

So,what the core meaning of this is even

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

ཁྱེད་རང་གིས་སྤྱིར་གཡོ་སྒྱུ་ཅུང་ཟད་བྱས་པ་ཡིན་ནའི་ལས་

khyed rang gis spyir g.yo sgyu cung zad byas pa yin na'i las

if you did a small deceitful means in general

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

མ་འགྲིག་པ་ཅིག་རེད་

ma 'grig pa cig red

it is not appropriate.

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

ཡིན་ན་ཡང་གཡོ་སྒྱུ་འདི་གནས་སྐབས་ཅིག་ལ་ཡའི་༼ཡང་༽ཨོའོ་དོན་དག་རག་གི་རེད་སོ་སོ་ལ་

yin na yang g.yo sgyu 'di gnas skabs cig la ya'i (yang )o'o don dag rag gi red so so la

But, you will accomplish the purpose through the deceitful thought for a time being.

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

ཡིན་ན་ཡའི་༼ཡང་༽མཐའ་མ་ལ་དེ་ལ་སོ་སོ་ཕུང་བ་བྱེད་ཀྱི་ཡོད་རེད་

yin na ya'i (yang )mtha' ma la de la so so phung ba byed kyi yod red

Nevertheless, in the end it will ruin you.

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

གཏམ་དང་དོན་ཚང་མ་མེད་པ་ཆགས་འགྲོ་གི་ཡོད་རེད་

gtam dang don tshang ma med pa chags 'gro gi yod red

All fame and purpose (of life) will become non-existent.

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

དེ་ནང་བཞིན་བོང་བུ་དེ་ཡང་གོང་དུ་བཤད་པའི་དཔེ་དེ་ནང་བཞིན་

de nang bzhin bong bu de yang gong du bshad pa'i dpe de nang bzhin

Similarly, what happened to the donkey as explained earlier in the analogy

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

མཐའ་མ་དེ་ལ་ཡང་ག་རེ་བྱས་པ་རེད་ཟེར་ན་

mtha' ma de la yang ga re byas pa red zer na

in the end was

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

ཟས་མེད་པའི་སྒང་ལ་སོ་སོར་ཡོད་པའི་བོང་བུ་གཅིག་པུ་དེ་ཡང་མིས་བསད་བྱས་ཕུང་པ་བྱས་པ་རེད་ཟེར་

zas med pa'i sgang la so sor yod pa'i bong bu gcig pu de yang mis bsad byas phung pa byas pa red zer

in addition to not having food people killed the only donkey that one had and it got ruined.

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

འོང་དེ་བཤད་ཀྱི་ཡོད་རེད་

'ong de bshad kyi yod red

Oh,(this stanza) explains this.

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

ད་དེ་ནས་གཤམ་དེ་ནས་མར་གྱི་ཚིགས་བཅད་ཤོག་ལོ་ཀ་འདི་ས་སྐྱ་ལེགས་བཤད་ཀྱི་རབས་བྱེད་ཀྱི་ཆོས་བཏགས་པའི་ཁུངས་གཏོགས་རེད་

da de nas gsham de nas mar gyi tshigs bcad shog lo ka 'di sa skya legs bshad kyi rabs byed kyi chos btags pa'i khungs gtogs red

Now, then the following stanza(verse)is included in the Ngan Chos bTags pa within the nine sections of SasKya legs bShad.

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

རབས་བྱེད་དགུ་ཡོད་རེད་པའི་འོང་་་

rabs byed dgu yod red pa'i 'ong

There are nine sections,OK.

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

དེའི་ནང་ནས་ངན་ཇུས་པའི་ཁུངས་གཏོགས་རེད་

de'i nang nas ngan jus pa'i khungs gtogs red

Among those (nine) it is included in the Ngan Chos bTags pa.

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

ཚིགས་བཅད་ཤོག་ལེ་ཀ་་དེའི་ནང་ལོག་ལ་ང་ཚོས་མིང་ཚིག་ཁག་པ་ག་རེ་འདུག་གས་ཟེར་

tshigs bcad shog le ka de'i nang log la nga tshos ming tshig khag pa ga re 'dug gas zer

Within this verse, stanza,if we look(for the words) by asking (yuorself) What are the difficult names and words? it is like this.

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

མིག་ལྟས་པ་ཡིན་ན་དེ་འདྲས་ཟེར་རེད་

mig ltas pa yin na de 'dras zer red

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

ཧ་ཅང་གཡོ་སྒྱུ་མང་དྲགས་ན་

ha cang g.yo sgyu mang drags na

"If you are being too deceiful

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

རེ་ཞིག་གྲུབ་ཀྱང་མཐའ་མར་བརླག་

re zhig grub kyang mtha' mar brlag

Though(the job)will be accomplished temporaily,it will disappear in the end.

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

གཟིག་པགས་བཀབ་པའི་བོང་བུ་ཡིས་

gzig pags bkab pa'i bong bu yis

The donkey that was covered in leopard's skin

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

ལོ་ཐོག་ཟོས་མཐར་གཞན་གྱིས་བསད་

lo thog zos mthar gzhan gyis bsad

Was killed by others eventually after having eaten crops."

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

ཟེར་ཡས་ཀྱི་ཚིགས་བཅད་ཤོག་ལོ་ཀ་དེ་རེད་

zer yas kyi tshigs bcad shog lo ka de red

This is the verse,stanza.

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

ད་དེའི་ནང་གི་ཚིགས་བཅད་ཤོག་ལོ་ཀ་དེས་ག་རེ་ལབ་ཀྱི་ཡོད་རེད་ཟེར་ན་

da de'i nang gi tshigs bcad shog lo ka des ga re lab kyi yod red zer na

Now, if you ask,"What does the verse,stanza within that (section)say?"

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

སྤྱིར་ལབ་པ་རེད་མི་སུ་ཡིན་པ་ཡིན་ནའི་གཡོ་སྒྱུའི་བྱ་བ་བྱས་པ་ཡིན་ན་གཡོ་སྒྱུའི་བྱ་བ་བྱས་པ་ཡིན་ན་

spyir lab pa red mi su yin pa yin na'i g.yo sgyu'i bya ba byas pa yin na g.yo sgyu'i bya ba byas pa yin na

Generally speaking,no matter whom he or she is,if(he or she)does any deceitful actions,if does any deceitful actions,

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

མཐའ་མ་མཐའ་མ་དེ་ལ་ག་རེ་བྱེད་ཀྱི་ཡོད་རེད་ཟེར་ན་

mtha' ma mtha' ma de la ga re byed kyi yod red zer na

what it does in the very end is:

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

མི་གཞན་ལ་ཡང་གནོད་རང་ལ་ཡང་གནོད་ཨཻ་འདྲས་བྱེད་ཀྱི་ཡོད་རེད་

mi gzhan la yang gnod rang la yang gnod ai 'dras byed kyi yod red

it harms other people and oneself as well-that is what it does.

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

ད་གལ་སྲིད་ཁྱེད་རང་གིས་གཡོ་སྒྱུ་དེ་ཧ་ཅང་གི་མང་དྲགས་པ་ཡིན་ན་

da gal srid khyed rang gis g.yo sgyu de ha cang gi mang drags pa yin na

Now,if your deceitful(mean)are extremely high(to much),

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

གཡོ་སྒྱུ་དེ་ཧ་ཅང་གི་མང་དྲགས་པ་ཡིན་ན་

g.yo sgyu de ha cang gi mang drags pa yin na

if the deceitful means are too much,

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

གཡོ་སྒྱུ་ཟེར་བ་མཚམས་མཚམས་ལ་གྲུབ་ཀྱི་ཡོད་རེད་

g.yo sgyu zer ba mtshams mtshams la grub kyi yod red

this deceitful means are sometimes successful.

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

མི་གཞན་ལ་མགོ་བསྐོར་བཏང་ན་ཨོའོ་སོ་སོ་ལ་གྲུབ་ཀྱི་ཡོད་རེད་

mi gzhan la mgo bskor btang na o'o so so la grub kyi yod red

If you cheat other people, you get the success.

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

དོན་དག་དེ་གྲུབ་ཀྱི་ཡོད་རེད་

don dag de grub kyi yod red

(Your) job will be done.

རྒན་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལགས

ཡིན་ནའི་གཡོ་སྒྱུ་དེ་ཧ་ཅང་གི་མང་དྲགས་པ་ཡིན་པ་ཡིན་ན་

yin na'i g.yo sgyu de ha cang gi mang drags pa yin pa yin na

But,it is your deceitful (means) are extremely high (too much),
