Dorji from Raysinang village in Zobel Gewog (county) in Pemagatshel Dzongkhag (district) sings "Aalola Mitang Zerna" (Do Not Want To Sing Alo). This is a traditional sentimental song, famous in the eastern part of Bhutan.
- རྡོ་རྗེ་ Dorjiཡ་ཨ་ལོའོ་མི་གཏང་ཟེར་ན། །ཨའེ་ལས་དང་སྐྱོ་མོས་མ་བཞག །Oh! Though[I] did not want to sing the Alo song. Oh! [my] karma and sadness force compel me to.
- རྡོ་རྗེ་ Dorjiཡ་ཨ་ལོའོ་གཏང་གེ་ཟེར་ན། །ཨའེ་ཏོང་ཏོང་སྐད་ཀྱིས་མ་བཏུབ། །Oh! even though I don't like singing AAlo [sad song], but my sad feeling compel me to sing. Oh! but when I was trying to sing Alo my voice doesn't work.
- རྡོ་རྗེ་ Dorjiཨའེ་ཁྲི་གདུགས་ཕ་རི་སོང་འདུག །ཨའེ་གྱིབ་མ་ལ་ཚུར་རི་ལོག་དོ། །Oh! when the sun goes to the mountain on the other side. Oh! the shadow returns to the mountain on this side.
- རྡོ་རྗེ་ Dorjiཨའེ་ལོག་ན་ཁྲི་གདུགས་ལོག་ཤོག །ཨའེ་གྱིབ་མ་ལོག་པ་མིང་དགོ །Oh! let it be the sun that returns, Oh! not the shadows.
- རྡོ་རྗེ་ Dorjiཨའེ་རྐྱང་རྐྱང་མར་རི་སོང་འདུག །ཨའེ་ལྦ་ག་ཡར་རི་ལོག་དོ། །Oh! When the river flows down[away] to the south. Oh! the bubbles return backwards[up].
- རྡོ་རྗེ་ Dorjiཨའེ་ལོག་ན་ཆུ་མོ་ལོག་ཤོག །ཨའེ་ལྦ་ག་ལོག་པ་མིང་དགོ །Oh! let it be the river that returns, Oh! not the bubbles.
- རྡོ་རྗེ་ Dorjiཨའེ་དགའ་བ་ཕ་རི་སོང་འདུག །ཨའེ་སྐྱོ་མོ་ཚུར་རི་ལོག་དོ། །Oh! When the times of happiness is over. Oh! the times of sorrow comes.
- རྡོ་རྗེ་ Dorjiཨའེ་ལོག་ན་དགའ་བ་ལོག་ཤོག །ཨའེ་སྐྱོ་མོ་ལ་ལོག་པ་མིང་དགོ །Oh! let it be the times of happiness that comes, Oh! not the times of sorrow.
