Bodh Gaya is a religious site in the Indian state of Bihar, where Gautama Buddha is said to have attained enlightenment. This song is about a person who wants to devote himself or herself to religious practice but does not find the time to do so. In the lyrics, one prays and hopes to fulfill the wish of devoting time to religious practice in a future life, or later in the present one. This song had its share of popularity as it was recorded by one of the greatest Bhutanese singers, Khen Sonam Dorji, an innately gifted musician. In this video, Ugyen Lhamo from Tashi Yangtse sings it in a slightly different tune from the more usual versions. Moreover, she inserts a mantra between some lines.
