Yeshi Choden from Radhi Gewog, Trashigang, sings an old Boedra song entitled Gungtey Thonpo Thomitho (The High Sky is High). This song describes the interrelatedness of the sky and the sun, the mountain and the lion, and the land and the deer. It is an auspicious song and full of metaphorical imagery. For instance, the lyrics say that the sun is high and serves as the ocean beneath the sky. A lotus blooms from that ocean like sun, and that lotus is offered to the heavens. The song is performed in a circular formation of around five to twenty dancers. The composer and the origin of the song are unknown.
