Old woman greets Haimendorf with enthusiasm. "In the porch of the Ang's house we found a shrivelled, grey-haired old lady wearing only the traditional narrow skirt. We spoke to her and suddenly she recognized me and became electrified with excitement. She clapped her hands and patted me, gesticulating wildly and talking and laughing."
