Tashi Gyeltshen of Karna Gewog in Dagana District sings an old Zhungdra song entitled Sharchog Gungthnag Lamo (The Gungthang Pass of the East). This song describes and introduces a pass called Gungthang La. The composer felt that people misunderstood the name of that pass. Some called it Dray La (Pass of Dra), and others Lha La (Pass of the deity); the composer asserts the pass is known as Gungthang La (High Plain Pass). This song is performed in a straight line with around 5 to 20 dancers. An old song, its origin and composer are unknown.
