A couple in their 30s from the Tibet drama group, Penpa Drölma and Tséring Trashi, illustrate various forms of Tibetan body language: 1) Hands palms up extended out to say goodbye, 2) Index finger on cheek to indicate shame, 3) Using the face/lips for pointing, 4) Pointing with hands palms up instead of with index fingers, 5) Bending over with body and head while speaking to someone to indicate respect to a social superior, 6) Using the thumb and lips to indicate who you are talking about. 7) Using pinkie finger extended to indicate something bad, and 8) Fighting, using the index finger.
