The song “The Good Land of Tibet” praises the serenity of the mountains in Tibet. The lyrics say that in the mountains of the good land there is a golden lake on which golden flowers bloom; and a silver lake on which silver flowers bloom. The song says further that the beautiful flowers can be offered at a shrine. The song is one of the numerous songs that came to Bhutan from Tibet. Many of these songs are attributed to great Tibetan poets, scholars and lamas that are well known in Bhutan.
