When Tawmo, a village elder, was young, she led dances during the time of the Chojam consecration. This song is rare, as there are few people who are familiar with this song. The lyrics of this song, on the surface, give examples of materials for weaving, such as a mattress and waist straps, and describes the sound of rope beating. The deeper meaning of these lyrics, however, describes meditation of lamas, a lama's voice, a lama's belt, and reminds us that we should receive blessings from our lama. This song thus teaches us how to revere our lama.
ཨང་རྒས་ལྟའོ་མོ་གིས་ གླུ་གཞས་འདི་ ཆུང་སུ་ཅིག་འབདཝ་ད་ མོ་རའི་ཨའི་ལས་ལྷབ་ཡོདཔ་ཨིན་མས། གླུས་་གཞས་འདི་ ཡོངས་གྲགས་ན་མེད་ས་མེད་ མ་འགྱོཝ་ཨིན་མས།གླུ་གཞས་དོན་ ངོ་མ་ བླ་མ་ལུ་དད་པ་ སྐྱེད་དགོཔ་སྐོར་ལས་ཨིན་མས། འདི་ཡང་ སྐྱོ་བའི་གླུ་གཞས་ ནང་ཡང་ཚུད་ནི་ཨིན་མས། གླུ་གཞས་དཔེ་འདི་ ཐགས་འཐག་ནི་ལུ་ བཞག་ཡོདཔ་དང་ དོན་ངོ་མ་འདི་ བླ་མ་སྐོར་ལས་ བཤད་ཡོདཔ་ཨིན་མས། དེ་ཡང་ཐགས་འཐག་བའི་སྐབས་ གོ་པའི་ ཅ་ཆས་འདི་ཚུ་ དཔེ་འབད་བ་ཅིན་ སྐད་ཐགས་དང་རྩེར་ཁ་ དེ་ལས་བཏགས་མི་ གསུངས་སྐད་ འདི་དཔེ་སྦྱར་ཞིམ་ལས་ བླ་མའི་སྒོམ་ཐང་ལ་ བླ་མའི་ གསུངས་སྐད་ ལ་སོགས་པ་ཚུའི་ སྐོར་ལས་ ཨིན་མས། དེ་ལས་བླ་མ་ལུ་ ཆོས་ཞུ་ནིའི་ སྐོར་ལས་ཨིན་མས།
- ལྟའུ་མོ་ Tawmoསྭོ་ཡ་ལ། ཨོ་མོ་ཨོ་མོ་མ་ནི་པདྨེ་ཧཱུཾ། །གསུང་དབྱངས་ས་ལ་མ་ཎི་པདྨེ་ཧཱུཾ། །So yala! Omo Omo mani Pemi hung! So ya, sa la ma ni pemi hung!
- ལྟའུ་མོ་ Tawmoསྭོ་ཡ་ལ། ལས་ལ་དག་པ་གཅིག་དང་མ་དག་གཉིས། །ལས་ལ་མ་དག་ལ་ནི་སྤྲང་མོ། །So ya la! There is two kinds of Karma. The Good and the bad. But I am inflicted with the bad one.
- ལྟའུ་མོ་ Tawmoསྭོ་ཡ་ལ། གནམ་པོ་དཀར་པོ་ཕར་ལ་བརྐྱངས་པ་འདི། །ཐར་པའི་ལ་མོ་ཡིན་ནོ་ཨ་ལྕེ་དགའ། །So ya la! The white warp, I have stretched. If it's a pathway to the heaven, I would be happy.
- ལྟའུ་མོ་ Tawmoསྭོ་ཡ་ལ། བུ་མོའི་འོག་ཏུ་བཏིང་པའི་ཁ་གང་འདི། །མཚམས་ཁང་གྲུ་བཞི་ཡིན་ནོ་ཨ་ལྕེ་དགའ། །So ya la! The Mattress I am using under me, If It is my hermitage house, I would be happy.
- ལྟའུ་མོ་ Tawmoསྭོ་ཡ་ལ། བུ་མོའི་པང་དུ་ལེན་པའི་ཁྲིག་པ་(ཐག་པ)འདི། །ཆོས་ཀྱི་སྐུ་བཅིང་ཡིན་ནོ་ཨ་ལྕེ་དགའ། །So ya la! The Rope I use, If Its my religious belt, I would be happy.
- ལྟའུ་མོ་ Tawmoསྭོ་ཡ་ལ། བུ་མོའི་རྒྱབ་ནས་བསྐོར་བའི་སྐེད་ཐག་འདི། །བླ་མའི་སྒོམ་ཐག་ཡིན་ནོ་ཨ་ལྕེ་དགའ། །So ya la! The waist strap I use for my weaving, If It's My lama's meditation belt, I would be happy.q
- ལྟའུ་མོ་ Tawmoསྭོ་ཡ་ལ། [བཏགས་མ་ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་གསུང་སྐད་བྱུང་བ་?]འདི། །བླ་མའི་གསུང་སྐད་ཡིན་ནོ་ཨ་ལྕེ་དགའ། །So ya la! The beating sound of the batten, If, It's my Lama's voice, I would be happy.
- ལྟའུ་མོ་ Tawmoསྭོ་ཡ་ལ། སྤུན་བུ་ཕར་རྒྱུག་ཚུར་རྒྱུག་རྒྱུག་པ་འདི། །བླ་མའི་གཟིམ་དཔོན་ཡིན་ནོ་ཨ་ལྕེ་དགའ། །So Ya la! The passing of the bobbin with the yarn, from one hand to another. If it's my Lama's chamberlain, I would be Happy.
- ལྟའུ་མོ་ Tawmoསྭོ་ཡ་ལ། ཆེ་ཆུང་ར་སྙོམས་པའི་རྩེར་ཁ་འདི། །བླ་མའི་སྨྱུག་འབྲི་ཡིན་ནོ་ཨ་ལྕེ་དགའ། །So ya la! The Bamboo stick used to straighten the warp, If it's my Lama's pen, I would be Happy.
- ལྟའུ་མོ་ Tawmoསྭོ་ཡ་ལ། བུ་མོ་རང་ཡང་མི་སྡོད་ལྷ་ཆོས་བྱེད་ལ། །བླ་མས་གནང་བའི་ཆོས་ནི་བུ་མོས་ཡོང་། །So yala! I don't want to stay here, rather go pursue Dharma. I am to receive my Lama's teaching.
- ལྟའུ་མོ་ Tawmoསྭོ་ཡ་ལ། ཕྱི་མ་ཐར་པའི་ལམ་དུ་བླ་མས་དྲོངས། །ང་ལུ་ཆོས་ཅིག་གནང་ད་མཚན་ལྡན་ཚོ། །So ya la! My lama will have the ability to guide me after death. So, Dear Lama, Please bless me with Buddha's teaching.
- ལྟའུ་མོ་ Tawmoཡ་ལགས་སོ་ལགས།། །།yalaso!
