Karzom and her friend exchange riddles according to a local custom known locally as alung. One of them tells a riddle, and the other one has to guess what is being talked about. When one competitor cannot answer, he or she is asked to eat nine ladlefuls of rotten things. The custom of telling riddles used to be the manner with which people test each other’s knowledge of local surroundings and items of daily use.
